II./JG1_Kadin Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) In order to get a Player Captured once bailed out or ditched or even landed on wrong side you need a front line (Position type 0) MCU icons. The question is: Do you also need a zone of influence demarcated? Edited November 17, 2016 by II./JG1_Kadin
JimTM Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) You need an influence area translator to have a player registered as captured when they land within the area and they are from a different country than set in the translator. However, when I tested a few months ago, that translator did not work anymore. The icon translator MCUs used for front lines do not determine if a player is captured; they just mark the lines on the map. Edited November 17, 2016 by JimTM
TP_Jacko Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Can we use a complex check zone to give a message abou captured or escaped
JimTM Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 (edited) I assume that you mean complex trigger translator, right? I'm not sure what you have in mind, but you can use that translator to detect entry or exit of a plane (or vehicle) into or out of a circular zone. The translator can then trigger one subtitle translator to announce entry (capture) and another to announce exit (escape). Note that the complex trigger translator uses more resources than other MCUs so placing a lot of them may affect mission performance. Edited November 22, 2016 by JimTM
Urra Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Does anyone know if the influence area translator is still not working?
JimTM Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 (edited) Does anyone know if the influence area translator is still not working? Apparently, it's still not working properly. If you land in enemy territory and finish flight, here is what happens: - If your plane is undamaged, a "Captured" message appears at the top of your screen and you are marked as captured (under the skull and crossbones icon) when the mission ends. In this case, you are not marked as captured if you look at the Statistics screen before ending your flight. - If your plane is damaged, an "Emergency Landing" message appears at the top of your screen and you are not marked as captured when the mission ends.
