MSFFB2 Causing CTD/Shaking Violently

Hey,

 

Recently bought IL2 BoS and decided to use my Dad's MSFFB2 joystick. 

 

Most of the time it's been great, however quite often the stick will shake violently after takeoff (despite shake being reduced to 0) and any attempt to alter the settings causes a CTD. 

 

This is happening about 50% of the time I've played so far. 

 

I also get quite a few CTDs when starting a mission in the campaign though positive the two matters are unrelated.

 

Any help on the former matter would be greatly appreciated.

The first point has been like this since the beginning, but could quickly be solved (input setting: press Apply until stick behaves again)

 

The second point is new (v2.005) and inhibits action according point 1

 

That's why I asked for a FFB reset button, but i guess i got to less community support to motivate the devs to provide it
