Rigsby Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Couple questions I need answering to make sure it's not just my game that is doing this. 1) Does the Lagg have brakes for toe left and right? It's just when I set them to my Saitek combat rudder peddles they don't work? Also, I noticed that the slash key on keyboard doesn't seem to apply the brakes either. 2) Do the levers in the 109 animate? Unlike the levers in the Lagg, were they all move, nothing seems to move in the 109 apart from the throttle?
Finkeren Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 1: No, the LaGG has only one central brake, which has to be mapped as a seperate key. 2: The Bf 109 has automated pitch and radiator controls (as it did IRL) The manual overrides do not function yet. The Daimler engine has direct fuel injection, so no mixture control either. All working functions have moving levers/switches.

The 109 sounds like a good plane to fly without all the hassle of levers. Thanks for the info, but can you tell me what the current default key is for the Laggs central brake? Thanks!
Uriah Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I don't recall, but you can set it up to whatever key you want. The default settings are for those folks who only have a keyboard. Maybe even no stick. No TrackIR, No rudder and no CH Throttle Quadrant. I have all these and I am still good target practice.
Fifi Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 2) Do the levers in the 109 animate? I guess it will come soon.
4H_V-man Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 The default key for brakes on the LaGG is the '/' key, I believe. It's in your Controls section. By applying brakes and moving rudder in the desired direction you can cause one brake to grip more than the other, emulating toe brakes.

So you press this "/" key down and then just keep pushing alternate rudder paddles left & right? I already tried holding down the "/" key without any rudder as described in my first post and it didn't brake one bit. Do you have to give it some rudder before the brakes kick in? Fifi Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Yes holding this key (or whatever you mapped for it) action both brakes. You even can hear them. Giving rudder to it (still holding the key) makes plane turning around one leg.
1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I just mapped my left toe on the saitek pedals to the wheel brake and it works fine. I can still turn while holding the toe brake down.
