Hi All.

 

I think, although maybe some do not care.

 

I thought it appropriate to create an awards section, To reward the best creators "Painters" of camouflage.

 

During this time,      Throughout this time since the tool was released to work with skins,  Many, we have done awesome jobs.

 

 

To obtain a certificate is necessary:

 

1- Having created a minimum of 5 skins

2- These 5 skins have to be historically correct

3- the quality of work                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

-Within each certificate a gallon will be created, Where a small detail will be given to all the creators.

 

-Regardless of your quality of work.

Second: Many historical studies for each Airplane

third: The community enjoys the work of these skins

Four: In the same way that awards are given for campaigns, I want to create prizes for camouflage workers

fifth: All those who some time created a skin, Knows the amount of downloads it has, But in the forum, only a few people are grateful for this effort,

People that like Planes and painting, they will do it for many reasons, but i do not think a certificate would be a good "motivational factor"
Each individual has his own motivational factor.

Number 3: very true. But will the community also enjoy to decide who gets a special status (certificate) and who does not get that status?
How will such a Prize affect this small community? unless we are sure it has a good, motivating, unifying effect, i doubt it is a good idea.

I believe that the people that paint planes have enough, strong motivations to do it.

Upvotes and comments are always nice.
But i believe that the one of the best compliments that an aircraft painter can get, is to fly online, and see an other player use the skin that the painter created.

It is living, powerful, active proof that the work is not only beautiful (and accurate?) but also useful and appreciated.

The second best compliment is to see the painted plane in a beautiful screenshot on the forum. Also shows appreciation.

I think  that an award/certificate  + voting has a negative effect in this extremely small community, for users and painters. Is this a competition?
I like the basic idea to show appreciation, and do it with a strong signal. I believe we can find a stronger, louder, more intense ways to send a message to the Aircraft painters.

Panzerbär has painted the G4.
So how about the Community put some money together to buy him a Coffee mug with a screenshot of the G4 printed on it.
or a 2 meter large and 1 meter high print of the G 4, to hang on the wall.

 

That means not only does the message arrive on the screen, but also in real life.

Not only does he see it when he comes to the forum, but also his wife and kids see what he did, and the guests in his house.

Okay, it sounds crazy, but it is a strong signal of appreciation.

In my humble opinion, here we are talking not only about motivation and recognition for the hard work, but also about the virtual pilots recognized and used more correct skins of their aircraft and thus be closer to the historical reality of WWII. I support the proposal of Lothar29

It's just an award guys. He's just trying to do something nice. I for one do not see this as divisive at all. I do a lot of work for people that you don't see. Ask II./JG17 about it. I also do not ask for any recognition either. I would however enjoy making an official skin for a plane in the upcoming module. Perhaps the Fw-190A-5. I'd love to do that one. I live not 25min away from White 'A' from III./JG54. You know the ONLY all original FLYING A-5 in the whole world.

It would be a good idea for someone who works on things like missions to do diplomas for mission creators. Would be brilliant idea

 

But here it is only about the creators of skins

My uncle told me when I was a kid. If you put a lot of crabs in a bucket all of the ones on the bottom will try to pull to the bottom the crabs who try to escape.

Errrm, while the observation of the crabs might be right, the porting of it to human behaviour is not. The crabs are in a struggle to survive.

Every creature on our planet would react that way, once it comes to saving one's life.

 

That has nothing to do with giving away certificates/rewards, or criticizing/adorsing the proposal.

Criticism/Adorsement should be treated in a well minded manner.

Thus it should be received.
