BOS Pilots. Are you struggling to play BOS with your old Rig ?

Hi all. I was going to put this stuff on E-bay but I thought ,I would rather a BOS pilot who cant afford to upgrade to have it. ...I wanted to take Photos and upload them but I dont know how to ! Duh ( im old).

Here is what I have to give away.  ASUS z77 with 3750k and Antec water cooling. Corsair 2666 DDr. Gtx 970 hof. All in perfect order.

I am willing to post them wherever in the world......(if someone can tell me how to take photos on my Samsung phone and upload them here, I will post the shots.)

All that I ask is that you add your PC specs to your Sig. I will put them in a hat and pickout one. I willpost it to you ! Enjoy BOS !

Here goes the monster: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @2.33GHz, 5GB DDR2 RAM, Nvidia GT120 1GB

 

...somehow the game still runs, though the main menu is a slideshow.

 

EDIT: Just realise that come December DX11 will ground my rig. The joys

i5 4670k + 8gb ram + GTX 660oc on fullhd 27 Samsung, game run very well with max settings, AA4x AO, 3x landescape distance

It's a bit of a hassle but anyhow:

 

Take the photo(s) on the Samsung phone. Go to the photo gallery, select the photos you want and click to share them via email. Send them to your own email. Open your email from your computer, save the photos on a folder of your choice. Go to imgur.com, upload them there, then get the image link for each one of them and drop them here.

 

Alternatively, download the imgur app for Android and upload it there straight from the phone, then get the link for the album or the images and drop it here.

Just what the doctor ordered for my 'hobby' now that this 8 yr old desktop system is--well ancient now Just like I feel when getting up in the mornings--not fun getting past 60--all those years of 'being Invincible' have sure caught up on the old body

 

System Specs are

Core 2 duo 2.4g overclocked to 2.8

AMD HD7850 video card--Just died

RAM 8gb DDR2 800mhz

windows 10

MSFFB joystick,Saitek Combat pedals,Saitek X52 system(for throttle),Track IR5

 

and on top of all that this desktop wont boot up as it needs new video card and now reformatting, so I use my daughter's old school laptop to view internet. Yet before the reformat problem I was amazed that the 'simulator' worked enough to be immersive albeit on reduced graphic levels, even though my hardware is below stated minimum system specs.

 

Still I've purchased the 3 scenarios and JU52 and Yak1b

as I fully support this franchise and the dream of supplying a 'realistic' WW2 simulator to it's user group -many who are of advance years (read not adolescents who are primarily Jet flight jockeys or PS4 or XBox affectionados)

I live in australia in Northern NSW, near Bangalow if my location is also needed

GTX 1070 - i7 3770k 3.8 mhz - 16gb - SSD - Windows 10 - Dell Ultrasharp 2560x1440 -(High, 4x AA, 2x DV, HDR, VSYNC, SAO, UNLIMITED FPS)

 

Runs solid and smooth on PwCGBos missions most of the time. It drops to 50-45 fps at runaway depending on number of wingmen. It also can go down to 55 fps close to bombers in the sky. Some occasional stutter too.

 

In multiplayer can be good , can be very bad on ground.

These frame drops on ground are very annoying.

There are two schools of thought about this. One says the correct application of tactics combined with correct pilotage will bring results, and thus by doing so I can hit targets reliably. The second one, however, states I can't hit anything for the life of me and even if my rig was upgraded I would still be a bad shot

Thinking of buying myself a new one or upgrade to just a 970 card. Got a i7 with 2,8 ghz with gtx 680. But BOS runs fine on it . Got a bit more problem sometimes in DCS. WOW..

I just checked this post for the first time in over a week, as I've been busy here in Byron Bay volunteering to help with the organisation and running of the 'Schoolies event' that transforms this seemingly quiet seaside town into the raging hub for the thousands of year 12 testosterone and estrogen filled students that have just finished their Higher School certificate.

 

A Huge thank you to you JayDee you can't realize what a joy it will be for me to finally play this simulator with a computer that can actually achieve decent frame rates and allow me to have fun rather than 'static frustration. And even get online to play multiplayer which I couldn't attempt previously due to poor computer specs. although I will need to brush up on my flying skills.

 

Once again a BIG thank you and I realy appreciate your gestur to the sims participants and of course the gift to me
