andyw248 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) Thought I'd start my field carrier landing practice early... The Ju-87 is really good for this, thanks to its ability to be flown in 3-point attitude just above stall speed. I tried to follow this pattern: Translated to metric measurements, this means: On downwind, maintain about 60 m above ground (I was too high, at 100 m) Still on downwind, extend the flaps, and adjust trim and power to maintain about 160 kph (that's approximately stall speed x 1.1) When abeam the numbers, start a gentle descending 180-degree turn; you may have to increase power slightly to maintain 160 kph As you can see in my video, I didn't cut the throttle enough and therefore flared a little too long - had it been a carrier I would have missed the first few wires or even ended up in the barrier... My first result: Edited November 11, 2016 by andyw248 1
