Gambit21 Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Anyone take the trouble to make guides to these aircraft yet? I spent a few minutes looking but haven't found anything. Just basic radiator, manifold pressure settings etc, etc. like Chucks guides for BoS. I didn't keep up on BoM stuff at all before the recent announcement, so just trying to catch up.
FuriousMeow Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 (edited) There isn't a static setting for the radiator - its variable based on speed, altitude, environment (season and location) and MAP/RPM setting. The engine settings are already set in game and in a Dev Diary or something. Edited November 9, 2016 by FuriousMeow
TP_Silk Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 You will find all of that in game now in a tab called 'Specification' on the mission planning screen. There are also some early-ish guides done in the Manuals, Tutorials, Guides and Tips forum http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/82-manuals-tutorials-guides-and-tips/
Gambit21 Posted November 9, 2016 Author Posted November 9, 2016 (edited) There isn't a static setting for the radiator - its variable based on speed, altitude, environment (season and location) and MAP/RPM setting Yeah I know, I'm an old timer - I shouldn't have said radiators. What I meant was mostly RPM, or temps, or manifold pressure...whatever I need to pay attention to in each craft. I flew BoS for a long time, then lost interest until Kuban/Pacific was announced so I'm trying to shake off the rust and get familiar with things again, including the new AC. JimTM Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 This post includes some operational notes on each plane in addition to the specs that appear in the game: http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/25993-aircraft-flight-and-technical-specifications-and-operational/
Gambit21 Posted November 9, 2016 Author Posted November 9, 2016 Thanks - I didn't notice the in-game stuff - I'll take a look.
