=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Hhoooo boy. I am excited to get a nice upgrade on my Yak-1. When can we expect it at the soonest? Edited November 8, 2016 by =DF=spaceman1999
ShamrockOneFive Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 That's exciting news Jason! Thanks for the heads up! The Yak series is a fav of mine and I'm pretty excited to have three of them in my hangar in relatively short order. Can't wait!
Finkeren Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Hhoooo boy. I am excited to get a nice upgrade on my Yak-1. When can we expect it at the soonest? Two weeks, be sure. 1
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Fantastic news, Jason! Congratulations to you and the team, I can't wait to try it out
Finkeren Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Until a couple days ago, it had actually been months since I last flew the Yak-1 s.69. Now I've been taken her for a swing again, and boy that plane is so good, especially when you've been struggling to get the most out of the MiG. There is no way the Yak-1b isn't becoming my new favourite ride.
Jade_Monkey Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Interesting, somehow I though it was already in beta for a few weeks. Great news, it sounds like we could be flying it pretty soon!
JimTM Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I love the current Yak so I can't wait to take the 1b bubble Yak for a ride.
[CPT]milopugdog Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Could we be in for a surprise this week?
Feathered_IV Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Finally, a Yak that isn't shaped like a 50's caravan. Can't wait to fly in style!
ShamrockOneFive Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Finally, a Yak that isn't shaped like a 50's caravan. Can't wait to fly in style! And then there is the Yak-7B.....
Finkeren Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 And then there is the Yak-7B..... The hatchback version. 3
Finkeren Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 So maybe this week? :D If it only just entered beta, I'd say middle of next week.
Dutchvdm Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 She looks good. Grab her at a discount while it lasts! Jason Already got her. I can buy faster then you guys can build them Grt M 2
Guest deleted@50488 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Jason, it's in my pocket since day 1, together with BaK and the Ju-52. Actually, 1st time since I use flight simulators, and excluding a professional platform I cooperate with ( ELITE Flight Simulation Solutions ) il-2 is ** the ONLY ** flight simulator on my system. Why? 1) No other flight simulator - and I really mean NO OTHER - does flight dynamics and overall physics modeling like I find them implemented in il2-BoX! 2) No combat simulator I have played with gives me the sam immersion; 3) No Dev Team / Platform gives me the pace of updates and content, and listens to their user community like 1C / 777 ( excluding Hardy Heinlin in Aerowinx PSX, but that's a Boeing 747 professional sim ... ) Il-2 BoX is the closest to "being there" os any flight simulator I have used - since I use flight simulators, for more than 25 yrs.... )
Asgar Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Yak-1b done, time to start working on the 109 G-6 btw. can we have "premium plane badges"?
ColdCraving Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 any clue about the "Loadout" for the Yak-1B ?
Trooper117 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 People continue to mention the Yak 7... I know it was originally a two seat trainer, but when it was utilised as a fighter, I have it in my head that it was the better aircraft. I don't have my books to hand as I'm all packed up ready to move house, any views?
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 any clue about the "Loadout" for the Yak-1B ? I have not thought about that... Less ground attack armament, maybe different ammo belts?
Danziger Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Somewhere on the Russian forum I think Han said it would have four "modifications".
xThrottle_Geek Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Anyone seen a forum post talking about the in-game modifications for this plane? I'm curious if the armored block of glass is removeable?
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I'm curious if the armored block of glass is removeable? I don't think that will be one but, like the La5, the front glass pane may be interchangeable.
Finkeren Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 My guess would be: 2xFAB50 2xFAB100 Removable armoured windscreen Reduced ammo capacity (as was standard on early Yak-1bs)
xThrottle_Geek Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I kind of would prefer a clearer view, free from the armored glass, but hey, whatever, I love this plane and the view is significantly improved even with it.
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Video? I bet we'll get one in this week's DD.
Danziger Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Maybe even video over Kuban... I would love to see how "work on the card" is progressing.
Gambit21 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Until a couple days ago, it had actually been months since I last flew the Yak-1 s.69. Now I've been taken her for a swing again, and boy that plane is so good, especially when you've been struggling to get the most out of the MiG. There is no way the Yak-1b isn't becoming my new favourite ride. You'll have to change your sig
Jade_Monkey Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Maybe even video over Kuban... I would love to see how "work on the card" is progressing. Also the odessa "card"
Luger1969 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Awesome .... this aircraft and its release is a huge bonus. Thanks Jason and team.

=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I told my friend who isn't on the forums all that much that landing lights are optional and he said: "Will they have landing heavies?".
