Need help - To Much Shutter\Delay With BOS

Hello...

I currently have BOS and the latest updates installed on my machine which has the following hardware configuration...

  Processor:                    Intel i7-2600 CPU @3.40GHz   (64bit / quad core)

  RAM:                            8 gigs

Video Board:                AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series  (1 gigabyte cache)

I have tried every system tweak I could think of to make the game smoother to play.  However, nothing works and the game continues to experience frame-shutter (reduced frames to 50fps) and mouse handling delay.

"Rise of Flight" works fine on my machine with few issues if any.

Do I need an entirely new system or would an upgraded video board do the trick?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I'm no expert but I would have a look at a new Video card at first. 1GB of Video RAM is rather on the low end and I imagine it can cause some of the problems you are encountering. If you lower the graphic settings to the lowest possible,do you see any difference in performance?

Hi ST_Pirato...

Thank you for your reply.

And yes, I have reduced the resolution considerably but still it hasn't been much help.  I have actually been considering a new board but I am not sure if it would be better to simply buy a new machine since the one I am using I bought in 2011...

Your CPU is a good one,if your CPU is a "K" version it can easily be overclocked to atleast 4Ghz, if you have a good CPU cooler. Otherwise if you just have a standard I7 2600 or a standard cooler you will not get far with overclocking. Upgrading to a completly new Machine is always a good option though. You could go for a new Graphic card and see how it works with your current setup. If you decide to go for a new machine later, just re-use this card for it.

Thank you for your comment, ST_Pirato.

Admittedly, all of my equipment is starting to age since I tend to hold on to my equipment for long periods of time.  I treat them all well so they last long for me.

However, I have a new machine selected from DELL but I also need a new laptop since the one I have is still 32bit and I am now doing all of my software development on 64bit equipment.

My old system from 2012 was playable at 1080p, some setting tone down and no stutters but i rather recommend you to change it or wait for dx11 and see how it playes.
