vee1234 Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Have the Saitek Combat Pedals. When I press right toe brake in the key mapping the program does not detect it. Rudders and left toe brake are assigned and working. Anyone else have this problem and suggestion on how to fix it?
Bando Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Try to keep the brake in the middle. So push it a bit till half way travel. Keep it there and try to assign the brake again (it works only on planes that had them like 109 and so) by pushing down and up. After a few strokes it should get recognized.
vee1234 Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 I did everything described and it still doesn't work? I tested the pedals on another simulator and the right toe brake still didn't work. Any suggestions re the pedals?
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Likely cut cable inside the pedals. Wiring internally is poor and the rudder motion severs/cuts wires going to the toe brake pot.

=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) Here is a private message I sent to another forum member with the issue. In case it helps - here is a photo from another forum. Mine was cut in the same place as this guys, couldn't tell until I pulled the wire out of the tape. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2901125&postcount=31 Edited November 7, 2016 by Tripwire
Sokol1 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) The wires can be cut/broken in more than one place, is need open pedal base and investigate. But see this example: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2902865 Edited November 7, 2016 by Sokol1
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Blue text is no longer a link. Just text. Fixed. Apologies.
9./JG27golani79 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Thanks to Tripwire I checked my pedals again - had the same problem only with the left toe brake. A wire was broken underneath the tape just where it goes into the moveable part in the middle. I removed part of the hot melt adhesive and used a clamp to connect the wire again - it´s not running through the cable channel anymore thoug but it´s working. A different topic but you can find instructions on how to disassemble the pedals here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=73311 Make sure that you didn´t unintentionally move the potentiometer which is used for left / right input of the rudder or else you will have to open them again. Just connect them and use the config tool to see if everything works the way it should.
