Military map symbol template

I was wondering if anyone has a collection of unit map symbols for copying into a mission.

I wonder what file type /format they need to be in?

 

JPEG or PNG or BMP? (for example).

 

I guess if someone had time to make vectors out of the icons on the page you posted a link to.....

What do you mean by vectors

Vector graphics are made using programs like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and are made of paths (polygonal x and y co-ordinates).

 

Programs like GIMP and Photoshop create raster graphics which are images made of dots or pixels.

 

Vectors are basically smoother at most resolutions.

Here are two basic groups with the in-game blue and red colors.

 

I'm using Position type 3 for the lines.
