Next update planned for December maybe in time for Santa. Complete contents are unknown but that is when we begin Early Access for first Kuban material and new Collector Planes. DirectX 11 just entered beta today. It will be while before we have any concrete detail on DX11 pros or cons. This is new territory for us.

Mainly performance and VR-support though they said that it might make a lot of things posible in the future including (but not limited to) better looking in-cockpit shadows.

It will take more of the graphics load off the cpu and put in on the gpu we pay good money for, should equal improved performance going forward.

I hope so. I just doubled my memory to 16gb and graphics card from 2gb ddr5 to 4gb ddr5 and didn't get any significant performance increase.

I really wonder what other thing we will get at this next patch...

Well, in addition to what you said, we should also receive the Bf 109 G4, since that would be the first BoK content. I know: Three aircraft in one update

The current bottleneck is in the CPU (mostly one thread), so I'm not surprised. However i would expect your investment to pay off with DX11.

Might be.

Might be.

;)

Though obviously it won't come with the first DX 11 update. Stuff like that takes time to implement and optimize.

I think they're a damn talented bunch and I can't wait for the next update.

yes, indeed. How do can they do all of that?

I wait also for DX11 BUT that alone means nothing.

With a bit of work you get a DX9 game to DX11 because DX11 is back compatible. They must rewrite some things which takes a lot of time to get use of the DX11 API.

As long as we not know which API`s features they will use, i dont hype this implementation and dont get disappointed if they donte use featerues i hope for. So everyting they will use later on makes me happy.

It was using the ROF engine which was created much earlier.

No need to be a smartass.

Hey cut them some slack. Its by far the best sim out there IMHO and besides, I am sure they had good reasons at the time AND besides we are not all perfect at making critical decisions.

From what this DEV team has delivered in the past, I will not be surprised that at the implementation of DX11 they will have already incorporated a lot of the features like rendering, shadows and GPU optimisation etc etc etc....

Lets wait till its implemented before we speculate ourselves into a frenzied stupor.

They need to gain fps if they think seriously about VR. But already Han said they can duble it in some scanes with dx11.

And with "a bit of work" you do a ww2 simulator as well hahaha

Why I am not doing that by myself??? ;)
