=LG=Wicher Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 My rig: Intel Xeon Processor E3-1230V2 [8M Cache, 3.30 GHz]MSI RADEON™ RX 480 GAMING X 8GRAM Goodram 16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz CL10 PSU: Corsair VS 650W Motherboard: MSI Z68A-G43 LGA 1155 (G3) SSD Samsung 850 evo proOperating system: Windows 10 Pro What can I say ... just watch the short clips, the fps without lock are so low for rig I have, totaly don't understandable for me. And to be clear, this are just situations where there are no planes around, in dogfight when sb is smoking etc I get drops to even 20 fps sometimes. The clips where recorded at WoL server. Low Settings: Video: https://youtu.be/GMD1mFMzWO8 Hight Settings: Video: https://youtu.be/Lg9I0txQRSY And to be clear, in for example battlefield 1 average fps 90 on ultra settings, in witcher 3 on uber settings with hairworks on average fps 60, in Dirt Rally with ultra settings average fps 108. So I guess on low settings in BoS I should get at least average fps around 110, but nothing like that.
=LG=Wicher Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 This game needs a strong processor mostly for its huge physics calculations. If you want higher frames you'll need to either overclock your processor or get a faster one. But I guess that you could overclock it to at least 4 ghz. Other games don't need so many physics calculations so you can have more eyecandy. Xeon is not able to overclock, it has 3,7Ghz on turbo and that's all. But why do you say I need stronger cpu, when here I get usage about 20-60% and in battlefield 1 my cpu is at 100% at all 4 cores.
=LG=Wicher Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 So many answers, so many solutions, much wow ... I guess it is normal and this game is just made by retarded guys, great!
kissklas Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) I understand your frustration, but that tone is not very constructive... I would suggest you try turning off hyper threading, to free up as much space as you can for each single thread. This game being built in DX9 means that it relies heavily on single core performance. Also check that your drivers are up to date. Edit: This should be massively improved as DX11 is released. That will open for much better utilization of resources. As you already see from the performance you have in Witcher, BF and Dirt Rally:) Edited October 22, 2016 by kissklas

And my PC is freshly after reinstalation and all drivers are freshly downloaded from official websites.
Max_Damage Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Should wait for a dx11 release and see if it fixes fps problems. We will have dx11 before the New Year so dont worry.

I doubt dx11 will solve anything as what you have there should not be the case. You have backgroung priority on that task? Edit: does that happen in offline single mission as well? Guest deleted@1562 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Most games do not support multiple cores properly. Sadly (but understandably, because parallel computing is complicated and therefore very expensive to develop) IL2 falls into this category. But as the industry steers more and more towards multicores this will have to change. Clock speeds are not easily raised anymore, but the number of cores is. Look at BF1 for instance, where DICE had to try to get as much out of the (rather weak) console hardware they had to gear their engine towards multicore processing.

You have backgroung priority on that task? Edit: does that happen in offline single mission as well? Screen recording is off, that's why I used phone to capture the performance. In single player the usage of the gpu and cpu remains the same but I have slighlty more fps
XQ_Lothar29 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 After this patch, I've lost 10 FPS on average, with the following settings Computer I7 4790K 4.0Ghz 16Gb Ram GTX 980 Strix Windows 7 x64 before this patch, in ground, my FPS were more or less between, 48-55. now, after update 2004, in ground 32 FPS, and when we have many planes, low performance is crazy

Matt Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 You do realize that those "retards" are now moving to DX11 right? 2
=LG=Wicher Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016 You do realize that those "retards" are now moving to DX11 right? You know the game was relased in 2013?
Matt Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Actually, i do. You own BoS for 3 years now as well i guess, so you can't wait 8 more weeks (according to Jason it will be released around christmas) for a up to 100% performance increase (according to Han)? What answer are you expecting from them now, especially after you insulted them, that would statisfy you? Is there any purpose of your topics or do you just want to let off some steam? 1

How am I supposed to know, If problem I have is because of my computer or of the game without asking question first?
Matt Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) Actually that's the very first question you're asking in this topic. And the answer to that is that it's because of the game. Edited October 23, 2016 by Matt
