SCG_motoadve Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Load more incendiaries or less tracers or make any custom set. I see it as an option , but only one is present and nothing can be changed?
TP_Jacko Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Correct no capability to change. I agree it would be nice to mix up the type of rounds
Finkeren Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 This would mean that tracers would be gone from MP in an instant, which I think would be a shame.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 No, with the exception of removing tracers it's mostly ahistorical anyway. The typical line pilot had little to no control over his ammunition belt. Those decisions were made much higher up the chain of command. 2
Gunsmith86 Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 No, with the exception of removing tracers it's mostly ahistorical anyway. The typical line pilot had little to no control over his ammunition belt. Those decisions were made much higher up the chain of command. The complet removing for tracer was seldome but at least for german pilots it was very well possible to alter his ammunition belt. To enable him to do that effectively the germans made a manual which explained all sorts of ammunition and what it does best and what it can´t do. In this manual are a variety of belts that had proved to be effective for diffrent jobs like ground attack, night fighting, ... It also stated that these belts can be changed if the leading armorer on the airfield agree with the change proposed and there is no shortage in supplies of that ammunition. For example: As a fighter pilot you encounter a repeating situation in which you have the impression that enamy planes which you fight burne easyly than you could ask your armorer to use twice as many incendiary projectile as normal. If your flightleader and the armorer agree to try this your belts would be changed and if you are successful whit your loadout than the armorer would inform higher up command which would lead to a update of the manual. 2
Finkeren Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 It would be nice, however, to be able to choose between a more varied selection of historical combinations other that just AP, HE or AP+HE.
Gunsmith86 Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Well to use the basic belts from the manual would be the best thing to do. 2
E69_geramos109 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 A sistem like in clifs of dover would be amacing and very interesting 1
Blutaar Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 I think it will never happen, it was in CloD and if the devs wanted such a feature, they had implemented it right from the start!
ShamrockOneFive Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 It would be nice, however, to be able to choose between a more varied selection of historical combinations other that just AP, HE or AP+HE. Yep, I think that would be a great thing to do. A more detailed description of the belting and the option to choose from historical pre-sets would be great. I can't remember if the devs have ever stated that its something they might do at some point I think it will never happen, it was in CloD and if the devs wanted such a feature, they had implemented it right from the start! With a small team and a complex product to bring to market in a fairly short period of development time, I don't think that such a thing is necessarily the case.
