HunDread Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I experience this in the HE-111, not sure other bombers have the same issue. It happens every 30-60 seconds or so, sometimes just a minor forward movement, sometimes bigger. It is annoying to miss the target becasuse of this after 30 minutes of climbing. Is there anyone else having this issue? Is this normal part of simulation? Thanks
SCG_happy_meal Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) when playing multiplayer i do have the same problem. In single player it works fine so i asume it have with latency to do. in auto mode the crosshair drop closer to the plane even when u have a constant speed and hight. I do only use manual mode for the drop to not miss. Edited October 11, 2016 by happy_meal
HunDread Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Yes, this is in multiplayer. I don't remember having this when I was learing the plane in SP. I didn't know that in manual mode the croshair doesn't always come closer. I have only used auto so far. Thanks for the tip, I will try manual. I guess the only difference is that I have to manually push the button to release the bombs?
TP_Silk Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 You will need to use the full bomb sight in manual mode. Don't be put off by this, if you plan your route and what altitude you intend to drop from before you take off, you can set most of the bomb sight settings while still on the ground and then fine tune them if necessary for speed or exact altitude when you get to your initial point.Don't forget to select how many bombs you wish to drop in one go and to open/close the bomb bay doors.
HunDread Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 What do you mean full bomb sight? I am using the one that has speed, alt, compass displayed on the left, along with the two dials where I set wind speed and direction relative to plane. And have alt and speed input on the right with manual/auto swithcher, bomb selection and drop bombs button along with sight direction and something I don't remeber. I guess this is the full right? Or is there any fuller than this? Thanks
TP_Silk Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 That's right, I just meant that you have to ensure that you have everything in it set correctly. Once you've done that then yes, the main difference is pressing the drop button yourself )
HunDread Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Great thanks. I started to worry there is something I am missing out. Haha
JPiper Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 What is the purpose of the yellow dot in the cockpit when carrying bombs ?
Haza Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 What is the purpose of the yellow dot in the cockpit when carrying bombs ? JPiper, Can you explain where, what and which aircraft the yellow dot is please. I must admit that i do a bit of bombing and i'm now used to doing things quickly my way now so I do not always notice things anymore. However, I will try and help if i can give a little bit more info. regards Haza
JPiper Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 It does not matter which plane, but, its visible in the cockpit after loading bombs and of course during the flight it will move and when getting closer to the bombsite it shifts forward as though it is putting a bulls eye on the target before you drop the payload. Maybe its something I did in settings, but, I don't know what. Its not that accurate I've tried dropping at different times using it as a guide, but with no success. Thanks for your response
Jade_Monkey Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 What is the purpose of the yellow dot in the cockpit when carrying bombs ? If you are flying in Normal mode thats where the bombs will fall. Its just an aiming aid. That will not be there if you fly in expert mode.
