Hi

I have Saitek X56.

Haw can I set up my ministick on the throttle to control the camera?

Or I am really forced to use lousy defaul camera controls?

This mini-stick - under thumb find - is a analog device, you can assign their axis you can assign direct in games control, in pilot head section.

If possible avoid use Saitek soft, is the cause of most complains about X-55/6.

Software should allow to set it as mouse.

I know, but this is not what I whant.Working as a mouse stick moves a camera when I push it, but not retorn it to the canter when I release it.

Of course I foud the setting. And assign the ministic axis to camera controls. But nothing happens. Camera still controlled only by and POV and mouse in spire of I turn them off.

It seems that no alternative controls can be assigned to camera. All not default settings are ignored.

I have an X56 and I just tried and was able to map pilot head bow and horizontal movement to the thumb joystick no problem.

Look under settings>key mapping>pilot head control. (see joy0_axis_s and joy0_axis_w below)

"Bow pilot head" assignments for throttle mini-joystick will control camera inside cockpit only.

If you want control the outside camera with the mini-joystick is need assign in Camera section too.

Notice that you don't need unbid Mouse axis if want, just use other tab for assign - like Path did. But can if want.

Each command allow three different controls method (keys, buttons, axis - this for some controls).
