garethj2 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I am playing BOS v 2.0003 ( installed from cd, and then included within steam ), and like my other sims, (rof)(clod) only have time for single missions. Have installed Sturmovicks over Stalingrad, and Platzschutzstaffel Pitomnick, both by Juri-JS, ( and both are excellent ), and also installed Ratas and Stukas by coconut. For the first two, a media folder is included, and the game allows playing of all the missions. For Ratas and Stukas, however, no media file is included, and the game does not list the missions. What should I do therefore as regards creating a media folder with correct contents?
coconut Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 About Ratas and Stukas, make sure you picked the single-player version of the mission. This mission also exists as a multi-player mission.
garethj2 Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Thanks for the quick response. Just re-downloaded single ratas and stukas 16th july 2015, and ratas and stukas 15th august 2015. Both single player, and both without media folder.
coconut Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 (edited) They don't have a media folder, and don't need one. It's possible they were saved using an older version of the editor and need re-saving. The easiest is probably simply to remove the msnbin file. After that you might need to regenerate the mission tree cache, it's a file in data/ named mtreecache.xxx where xxx is your language (eng for englisg...). Where did you download these missions? This forum or mission4today? Edited October 4, 2016 by coconut
garethj2 Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 This forum, coconuts missions, page 1, posts 16th july 2015, and 15th august 2015.
coconut Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I see. Try using the one from the first post. I keep the first post updated with the latest versions. I'll try to find and remove the other older attachments to avoid further confusion.
