Menu buttons unresponsive to mouse clicks

Suddenly, I've run into a strange issue. The game does not respond to mouse clicks in the game menus. The mouse cursor appears and it can highlight menu buttons as normal, but clicking does nothing. 

 

I can still navigate the menus with arrow keys and enter, but this is too slow and clumsy to be tolerable. 

 

I've already done a steam file integrity check and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. The mouse works fine in all other programs.

 

Does anyone have an idea how to restore mouse functionality in BoS/BoM?

I've solved my own problem.

 

The solution for anyone else who might come across the same issue was to uninstall Comodo Cloud Anti-virus (which apparently installed itself, and I never wanted on my PC to begin with). It must have been putting IL-2 into some kind of sandbox mode?
