Malta Map

Can we please have a Malta Map? I think quite a few of us will explode if we do not see the RAF soon. The map could be just the Island and a few miles of ocean with a german airstart and ending to the North, with the defenders being P-40s and Spitfires locked in RAF skins.

Only  likely if a third party figures out how to do, or if 1C/777 make a sudden huge amount of sales to then be able to afford to make multiple theatres at once.

It seems Malta and North Africa will never make it into a modern sim.

 

It was the intended followup to Oleg's BoB (hence the Italian planes) but never happened. Must be cursed.

I don't see where Cliffs of Dover is not a "modern Sim". Polygons on aircraft may be worse, but distant landscape rendering is a class above BoS. Aircraft rendering also better, and way less haze, which makes visibility better. It even has a newer graphics engine (so far). And there you'll get North Africa very soon. I really don't see the need for it in BoS, i'd rather see them making eastern front, Pacific, Asia...for the biggest diversity among modern Sims.

As for technology and scope, it always did seem a bit like the Falcon 4 of WWII sims i.e. a glorious failure that tried to do too much. Yes Falcon 4 got fixed in the end, but it took years and many man-decades (if not man-centuries).

No problem. North Africa is coming with the new TF5.0 Patch(Mod). It's called Tobruk map. Alongside they release a big bunch of aircraft like the 109 F4, Spitfire Mk5, P40, Beaufighter, Martlet ( ) and a few others. Huge number of engine fixes is also included. I have high hopes for it, guess it will be out in around a year, when we are lucky a bit sooner. 

I fully agree on the Falcon 4 comparison. However i think Falcon BMS 4.33 is better overall, then DCS since the last patch. I could imagine seeing the same happening with TF 5.0 regarding WW2 sims, at least when they fulfill their promises
