Radar not working?

I am still relatively new to the game (and flight sims in general), but I had started a new session of trying to master basic dog fighting techniques against the Ai (I'll get you Red baron, one day!) and I noticed that the mini map no longer showed my plane position nor my enemy.

 

I searched the entire settings and controls to see if I had hit a key unknowingly but couldn't find anything. Has the game been updated, altering this aspect in the process? Or did I miss a simple button push. While in the future I hope to not need such features, it is certainly helpful with getting the basics down.

Try this: Enable the HUD (key for "Show/hide entire HUD") and enable map markers (key for "Show/hide instrument panel, navigation and map markers").

I will look into that when I get home, The HUD I know is operational, but the map markers are probably the cause. Thanks for the help.

Try the 'I' button (unless you've remapped the function).
