Hi all, got a couple of teething problems here which hopefully some kind person can help me with;

Firstly, I've built my own switchbox using a bodnar board which works fine in IL-2 & DCS using a small program called SVmapper to map switch inputs to keystrokes. However, it does not work in BOS - although the keystrokes are being entered BOS does not respond - any thoughts?

My second issue relates to my X52 throttle control. For some reason each time I start the game, it seems to think that my throttle input is not reversed (although the settings screen says it is) so with the throttle at idle, I start the engine and go charging off down the runway because the game decides I have the throttle wide open at startup. Funnily enough once I've extricated myself from the wreckage if I then remove and then re-apply the reversal everything seems to work as expected. Is this a feature, bug or what?

Does SVmapper run in the background? I imagine it would have to in order to apply the profile.

Game restart was fixing the throttle axis problem before, but your problem sounds different.

Just to know, try with Hidmacros - have the same functions (mapped on press and release) of SVMapper.

I remember that when Cl+D are "released" SVMapper* dont work with then, but actually work... ? :wacko:

*Version dont change.

Will try that, thanks Sokol.

I think this problem is different from what you're describing Bongo. In my case although the axis is reversed in the game settings, the throttle is fully open with the controller lever all the way back (I would consider this idle). I then have to pause the game, go back to the settings screen, remove the reversal and accept then re-enter the reversal and accept again and hey presto! the throttle is now the right way round. Odd.

Sorry Sokol - HIDMacros doesn't work either - I guess I'm back to the drawing board.

il-2'46, Cl+D (and a guy say BoS & JoytoKey), have a problem with external keymapper (SVMacro, JoyToKey, Xpadder, Hiddmacros...):

If you map, e.g. button 5 press Alt+G (in SVMapper), the game ignore the combo Alt+G (il2'46) and to the function mapped for G or do both (Cl+D).

Well, my switches work fine in '46 & CLoD  (via SVmapper) but not in BoS - looks like I have to find a different work-around.

BoS recognize your BU0836 button press without SVMapper?

Sorry, Sokol, been AFK for a while. In answer to your question, yes it does, but I am using mechanical on/off latching switches (for realism) so depending in which function I have mapped to that switch (usually some sort of toggle - such as nav lights) the game reads the input as multiple keystrokes causing the function to toggle on/off ad infinitum. This is why I've been using SVMapper because that will just send a single letter command. I know I can get round this by using non-latching (momentary) switches for example, but to me that klnda defeats the object.

There does seem to be an issue with how the game reads button presses. It could be a timing problem ie the period between the shift key press and the letter press might be too small

I use bodnar boards as well. A 0836A and a X and both are recognized in Windows and BOS does recognize the switches as proper buttonpresses.

Are the presses recognized under windows controlpanel?
