IL2 Mod 1942 glitch.. update

Hi All,

 

I play IL2 with a head tracker and everything has been working fine with all aircraft except for the IL2 mod 1942. This is extremely frustrating as I like playing multiplayer TAW and the IL2 mod 1942 is one of the Russians' main aircraft. The first few times I played with the IL2 mod 1942 it was okay...

 

Problem:

When I fly the IL2 mod 1942 my view defaults to looking rearwards over my shoulder. It is difficult to look around with and without the head tracker. I am unable to manually reset the view to looking forward.

 

 

What have I done so far?

1. I initially thought it was solely a head tracker glitch so I tried the game without it and it still played up. The view defaults to looking rear. When I try and centre and lock the view looking forward I seem to be sitting on the edge of the cockpit looking forward. (ie if you can imagine what you would see if you sat on the edge of the cockpit with one foot on the wing and one on the seat).

 

2. I have deleted all IL2 mod 1942 aircraft files, entered steam and 'verified integrity' of local game files to replace them.

 

3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game.

 

I'm out of ideas... Can anyone help or offer a suggestion?

I would temporarily disable TrackIR, move the camera with the mouse and when in the preferred centre position press F10.

 

This should 'lock' the centre position and should be the default view even when you have enabled TrackIR.

Been there and tried that.. I can't get the view to 'slide' right. The view is permanently sitting on the left edge of the cockpit. I'll try again later though, thanks for your help.
