Jade_Monkey Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I was dozing off in bed last night and I think I just made one of those purchases that you fullyrealize the next morning It says they will ship in late October. Very excited to get the pedals. I was sick of the horrible twist in the X55, which is very loose and can't stay centered. Not to mention how good the new black pedals look. 1
unreasonable Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 They do indeed look good! Will put on the list for when my old Logitech pedals give up the ghost. If you have not experienced pedals in sims before you will be amazed at how much better you fly almost immediately.
dburne Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Excellent choice, have had my Crosswinds since last Dec and absolutely love them! The new graphite looks great!
CisTer-dB- Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 You wont be disappointed, great buy o7
Major_Hero Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 These are indeed excellent excellent pedals. Had mine since late last year also. Best Buy for flying!
Bando Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Last pedals you'll ever buy. Great way of yawing the plane :-) Lots of settings (hardware and software) and the best service on the market from Milan. You will not regret this.

Looks like we're gonna have a new ace in the mix! Salute! You'll love them.
Jade_Monkey Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 I'm excited! I had the Saitek ones before but I wasnt very happy and also my setting was not very adequate (office chair with wheels, little space against the wall etc.) This time I'm doing it the right way. Also very happy that it doesnt require software to run the pedals, just to calibrate them.
[TWB]Pand Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 One other cool feature is you can set the last X% of the pedals as a button... so for example, I have differential brakes set up for the German aircraft as you would normally, but when I hit the last 5% on either pedal, it presses a virtual button you can assign to brakes for the Russian aircraft... one less button you have to deal with on your stick Good hunting! 2
Bearfoot Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 You will love it! I know loved mine. I got mine in "Stormtrooper White" rather than "Tie Fighter Black". You won't believe how long I agonized over the color decision! 1
SvAF/F16_Goblin Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 (edited) Great buy, no turning back after you've tried them I got mine while the only colour choice was white Edited September 15, 2016 by I./ZG1_Goblin

Mine are Serial Number 003 ,it's the second unit that has been sold and the first with a serial number on it. I got it in August 2013 and it's still working like on first day, even after 3 years of heavy use and abuse. 1
PeterZvan Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I got the first unit - love the pedals - working like clockwork since day 1.

Jade_Monkey Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 I can't wait to see my wife's face when i tell her, and then again when she sees the actual pedals. XD
Marrond Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I can't wait to see my wife's face when i tell her, and then again when she sees the actual pedals. XD Man just tell her that you've won it in a tournament winning dogfights. I mean really, some truths are not worth dying for... 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted September 16, 2016 1CGS Posted September 16, 2016 Have had mine for a while now and love 'em.
Bearfoot Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I can't wait to see my wife's face when i tell her, and then again when she sees the actual pedals. Jade_Monkey Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Man just tell her that you've won it in a tournament winning dogfights. I mean really, some truths are not worth dying for... Haha I'm just (half) kidding. I still enjoy some autonomy on what to spend my money on. Once kids are in the picture, I can see how that's gonna change. Seen on a photography forum: "My nightmare is that, after I die, my wife will sell my photography gear for what I've told her I paid for them." That's hilarious My wife would sell my PC for 300 bucks as far as I know. 1
[TWB]Pand Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 IMHO --- It's pretty easy to justify the purchase... if this is one of your primary hobbies, just compare the cost to the total hours you use them per year. Lets say you use them 10 hours a week, 520 hours a year. This is a no brainer decision to buy them. $350 for the pedals / 520 hours = $0.67 / hour or $6.73 per week or $29.16 / month---- and after the first year --- $PROFIT Not many hobbies come in anywhere near that cheap... and even cheaper if you're using them more than 10 hours a week... also, don't forget the cost savings by NOT spending money elsewhere because you're sitting in your virtual cockpit.
Boomerang Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Seen on a photography forum: "My nightmare is that, after I die, my wife will sell my photography gear for what I've told her I paid for them." Hahahaha, bad Kalmar.. .
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Put in my order for a set of graphite Crosswind pedals after reading through this forum thread. Always wanted to buy a set after my current ones turned out less than impressive. Hoping for some good longevity out of them to make the purchase price worthwhile.

=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 You are in for a treat!! Now to play the waiting game. Must be in the same batch as Jade_Monkey as it says mid to late October.
Jade_Monkey Posted September 23, 2016 Author Posted September 23, 2016 Sounds like it's the same batch. Its going to be a nice early xmas present.
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Not only are the pedals top notch but Milan is also.
Senilix Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I fully support all the positive said about the pedals, I've had mine since dec. 15 - I can't praise them high enogh. Absolutely worth every penny, absolutely worth waiting for - and I expect them to be my last pedals....
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Not too much longer to wait now. Shipping to this end of the world is going to add a bit extra to the wait though.
Jade_Monkey Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) Just a few days till shipping!! Edited October 11, 2016 by Jade_Monkey
Jade_Monkey Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 Tripwire did you get any more updates about shipping? I was told on October 5th that they would start shipping on the 15th, and that the black ones would ship first. i havent heard any more, or even paid yet (?).
Urra Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I was dozing off in bed last night and I think I just made one of those purchases that you fullyrealize the next morning It says they will ship in late October. Very excited to get the pedals. I was sick of the horrible twist in the X55, which is very loose and can't stay centered. Not to mention how good the new black pedals look. Those are too nice, I would be afraid to get them dusty and full of cat hair.
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Received the same email on the 5th, nothing else yet, no payment. Reading into it, it sounds like earlier orders start shipping first. I would have been one of the last in this batch looking at the dates. I'll let you know if I see anything.

Really? Would you mind telling me how you did that?
ST_Pirato Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 If you run the MFG configuration tool, the option is in the lower left corner.
[TWB]Pand Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Really? Would you mind telling me how you did that? See below... then you can just assign the "button" within BOS/BOM.
