The day the British Empire celebrates the defeat of the Luftwaffe in the sky over Great Britain.

And as a Son of Albion, I would add that this was achieved with a great deal of help from pilots from many other nationalities who choose to fight even when they did not have to. Given that the RAF had already suffered terrible casualties in the Battle of France, and the training programmes could not yet make up the losses, their presence was essential.
