Sokol1 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Or we they are delayed... "two weeks, be sure"™. "Gunfighter went to completion at that time (early 2016). The plan was to use general mechanics with Gladiator Pro, but eventually abandoned and became developed a Gunfighter mechanism for loading." Read - new gimbal for this model. I guess as consequence of this "incident" , caused by a guy in their "Quest for the Feel Simulator". Edited September 13, 2016 by Sokol1
PA-Sniv Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Too bad! Hope gunfighter final price won't be impacted too much with these unexpected developpment/manufacturing costs...
Sokol1 Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) For "Twist" lover's: "After Gunfighter announcement is planned make a "twist" KG12 grip for (optional) installation on Gladiator Pro and Gunfighter." BTW - "Twist" in ball bearings/MaRS. This option will cost around 20$ more. Edited September 18, 2016 by Sokol1
Sokol1 Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) "We received a request to develop a joystick for use in military simulation. And Gunfighter will use the same base of this military joystick." Edited September 18, 2016 by Sokol1

BTW - "Twist" in ball bearings/MaRS. This option will cost around 20$ more. Will the optional twist be available from the manufacturer or will you need to do it yourself? If it can come from the factory with this twist I will buy a Gladiator pro to accompany my regular Gladiator :D
Sokol1 Posted September 18, 2016 Author Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) Apparently will be available two KG-12 grip (plastic version on release) for Gladiator PRO and Gunfighter. One with twist rudder already installed (inside the grip) - no user work required other than attach the grip in their base - other version without. Edited September 18, 2016 by Sokol1

Whenever they release the Gladiator Pro with twist I'm definitely picking one up 1
Sokol1 Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) For teaser the Kosmosimov "two handed" stick concept (WiP). Looks like tank gunner controls, probable the left grip and maybe the thing pivot in vertical axis, besides conventional X, Y (yoke like) movements for 6DOF control. KosmoPilov's dream: A bit... "twitch" this concept. Edited September 21, 2016 by Sokol1
BMA_FlyingShark Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 One with twist rudder already installed (inside the grip) - no user work required other than attach the grip in their base - other version without. Also for Europe and if so, any estimated time of release? (My current joystick is to the bones and I don't want to spend my money to another one if the Gladiator is coming soon).
Sokol1 Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) Also for Europe and if so, any estimated time of release? Gladiator PRO and Gunfighter is sold in Europe by FSC. The best estimated date for next batch of products continues... "two weeks, be sure"™. Edited September 21, 2016 by Sokol1
BMA_FlyingShark Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Thanks for the quick reply. After months of inactivity, I guess those 2 weeks won't mather.
Sokol1 Posted September 25, 2016 Author Posted September 25, 2016 (edited) Well, "Two weeks, be sure"™ is a measurement of time in "Dr.OM'World" time scale ( a kind of Maya calendar), for what are various interpretations. The last, from FSC is " Most likely Q1 next year". BTW - This "Q1" is not the commonly Q1 understanding, is some time after "Chinese New Year" holidays in February - I think. Sokol1 Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 (edited) Gunfighter status (UIV-VKB): "Firmware for use Warhog adapters on Gladiator Pro/Gunfighter - completed. Gunfighter - started making pre-production sample. Mechanics (gimbal) - completed. Electronics - completed. (Base) housing - completed. Working on the package." Next in "to do" list: Gunfighter release KG12 grip (plastic) with twist rudder for Gladiator PRO/Gunfighter Throttle "Jet" grip for Gladiator PRO/Gunfighter. Edited October 31, 2016 by Sokol1

F/JG300_Gruber Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Nice small base. That will be a big upgrade on my fat arse X55. Any news of the stick extension ? I did not understood if it come standard with the gunfighter or if sold separately
Sokol1 Posted November 26, 2016 Author Posted November 26, 2016 News (GT): In anticipation of the sample Gunfigther production lay out some information before the announcement. Default Gunfighter will be equipped with KG12 (plastic) grip, which is also used in the Gladiator/Gladiator Pro joystick. We continue to work on our new grip "Kosmosimov" (& whistles). The work is still a lot, I hope we are on the right track. If all goes according to plan, Gunfighter and Gladiator Pro will be platforms for the installation of the following grips: - KG12 (this handle is already being used in the Gladiator/Gladiator Pro) - KG12Pro ( KG12 metal version, the development of this grip is finished, but the mold has not yet launched) - Handle Kosmosimov (& whistles) (under development) - Copy (replica of some) number of grip for modern aviation (development will continue after the end of the work on the handle Kosmosimov). You can use the grip of sticks from other manufacturers (via adapters): -Thrustmaster Warthog (& Cougar) (already made). -Defender Cobra M5 (under development) Adapters for grip from joysticks Saytek not planed. Saitek product is bad for improvements. Do not consider this post to be a VKB commitment. I just shared plans. Great changes have taken place in the WKB, very much hope that the better. While more can not tell. https://s18.postimg.org/oy5kh5fg5/Cho_cho.jpg
Noxos Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 (edited) So I'm not in the loop at all, but from reading through the posts in here I gather that VKB routinely sometimes misses "very soon" release windows for its products? Does that apply to re-stocking the Gladiator Pro? I just got an email back from them saying that they would probably have the tracking code for the new shipment in "a few days". Should I take this with a colossal grain of salt? I am wavering between plonking down for the standard version (available off Amazon) and then deciding based on my experience with that if I want to upgrade later on to the Pro version of Gunfighter, thinking I could sell my standard Gladiator on ebay later and maybe recoup $40 or so. Guaranteeing I have a stick to use for the coming holidays is worth "losing" the $60 to me. But if they are really going to have the Pro available again very shortly -- I'd rather wait. Thoughts? Has anyone on here actually used both the pro and standard version and know exactly what the differences actually *feel* like? Sokol1's been helping explain to me the technical aspects to me but it's hard to translate that into what the thing actually feels like to use. I've been looking closely at buying from VKB because I love the idea of it being modeled on an actual German stick (I tend to fly 190s as much as possible in these kinds of games, and 109s when said 190s are not available) and the idea of having an intentional "loose" area in the middle makes sense to me. I often struggled with a "stiff" stick trying to make very fine adjustments when coming up behind a bogie in the past. Edited November 30, 2016 by Noxos
Soarfeat Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Hmmm, this opens up some possibilities for some interesting responses ( last sentence )-- I too am waiting

Most of the joysticks that are any good are sold on Amazon. You could just buy them from Amazon, insure they are sold through Amazon and then return if you do not like them Amazon has great return policies and will pay for return shipping. https://www.amazon.com/Gladiator-Joystick-Flight-Simulator-Controller-Stick/dp/B01G6GT49O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480547144&sr=8-1&keywords=gladiator+joystick Cheers-- SF
Soarfeat Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Great Noxos !!! When or if you have time, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the new stick you choose after some testing. Have fun !!!! -SF-
SC_Manu653 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 What the heck happened to Stratojet? Dunno it's closed now ! Was still hopping to get my extension for my joystick.

"two weeks, be sure"™. http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2347&start=15#p23870 Realistic, expect Gunfighter, adapters, etc. for March/April, 2017.
uiv Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) Adapters have been sent to VKB FCS Europe. Negotiations about the new VKB representative in the United States is not over yet. Adapters can be ordered from our representative in Europe or directly from China (sales_en@vkb-sim.pro) Edited December 4, 2016 by uiv
Sokol1 Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 VKB is doing a survey in their forum to measure the interest in Gunfigther in USA/Cadada: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2435 Their price is not know, but is speculate a price similar Black Mamba, around 280~300$.
Lusekofte Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) If it held any quality I consider the extension model cheap if it cost that, 600$ + is normal for those types, mine well over 1000$ Edited December 21, 2016 by 216th_LuseKofte
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 The fact that they are gauging interest is disappointing because it leaves me, the consumer, to draw the only logical inference: they're immediately pulling out of a market they barely even tried addressing.
Lusekofte Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Think it is more a feeling they got about going in Warthog price range and above. Not many move up to that cost in this hobby
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Think it is more a feeling they got about going in Warthog price range and above. Not many move up to that cost in this hobby I disagree. I think that the market for enthusiast-grade hardware is on a comeuppance with things like Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, IL-2, DCS, etc. being popular points of introduction for people. If the poo-poo Warthog has been as successful as it has, for as long as it has, there is clearly a market for that caliber of product... What there isn't is much innovation in the market or competition for Logitech/Madcatz/Saitek or whatever they're called.
Lusekofte Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Well I hope you are right I got first grade equipment myself, I just not aware how many of us there is.
Spinnetti Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Hmmm I'd like a scale, and scale length stick (Gunfighter Pro), but not for big bux. their products are oddly positioned. The base stick is well priced, the next one up too big a jump and this one?.... To me, a pro stick should be just that. no twist rudder, no extra buttons etc... just the stick, expecting the throttle to be separate and the pedals to be separate....
Sokol1 Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) "Pistolero" guts: BTW - Gladiator PRO metal trigger is available as spare parts and can be used as upgrade in Gladiator - for "triggerhappy" guys with "heavy" finger. http://vkbcontrollers.com/?product_cat=vkb-accessories Edited December 28, 2016 by Sokol1
