Essential functions for Bf 109?

I know elevator trim is one of these functions I am talking about but are there any others that matter for this plane? I'm trying to map all keys on my joystick for this plane but it's the only one I can think of.

Elevator trim doesn't work - you'll want to bind the vertical stabilizer instead.

Other than that, there is nothing special that I can think of. Point, aim, shoot.

In my experience, nope. Some may tell you to map the propeller pitch controls for "better" manual control, but the automatic control seems to do just fine for me.

Oh wow, I'm so stupid lol I've had elevator trim mapped this entire time and was wondering why I couldn't notice a difference while flying *facepalm*

Thank you for telling me this!

Hey if it serves a function it's getting mapped! Now I just need to learn how to use it :P

I think you can map vertical stabilizer and elevator trim to the same keys. I believe some planes use one and some use the other but they do the same thing so it's simpler mapping them to the same keys. I think the same is true for propeller pitch and rpm control, but I could be completely wrong!

I definitely do this for the vertical stab/elevator trim keys. It's one or the other... so you're safe with the dual mapping.

Tail wheel unlock might be handy for some of the tighter turns
