"Collectors" flight suits at Game Store

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Greetings:

All of us know, the RoF Store, where one can buy some Modification kits to the aircrafts.

What if we could have same Store, but with flight uniform? It is not hard to do (easier then etnire aircraft), but it could bring Devs some more money.

I mean - most of us do want to support our Dev team. Just give us something, and take our money :)

I guess, say, 5$ for a nice unique flight suit for a player will be good support to our Devs.

What do You think?

Initially, raglan leather suit was a standart uniform. It was deleted just before war started, and was used only by old, expiriensed "galant" pilots, not only because they look "cool", but also because this suit pretocted them against fire when aircraft burned. Raglan suit was a semi-seasoned, with removable fur underside. It was re-entered in service in 1943, but only for regimental commander and higher duties.

Irvin flight suit was supplied to USSR via Lend-Lease programm, starting from first half of 1943.  Usually supplied along with Lend-lease aircrafts, and was often seen among pilots of american or british aircraft-equipped regiments.

It was very popular among pilots.

For example, A.Pokryshkin, wearing Irvin Suit.

Also, some Romanian, Hungarian, Finnish, Italian uniform could be added - all of them fought on Eastern front.

Good idea,I like it. I'd gladly buy that Irvin outfit like Sasha had :) And a personal weapon like in RoF!

I play Elite Dangerous from time to time and I like their store with special skins and accessories.I bought several of them for my spaceships.

With Mods On coming in the next iteration I suspect this will be possible without spending cash or DEV design cycles.

I'd file this under "nice to have, but not really necessary."

Sweet! How much did that cost you?

lol... I have had that gear for years, can't remember how much I payed for it all... it took me a few months to save up for it, got the Irvin jacket first, then the flying helmet, followed by the goggles, then the oxygen mask last. I have the rubber flexible oxygen hose plus a radio lead extension.

I used to use it for fancy dress parties in the mess!
