LLv34_Flanker Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 S! So I finally got my new rig up and running. Updated the OS, Steam games and whatnot. Also downloaded a 5Gb patch to IL-2 BoS as purchased BoM. Well..the game won't start. Says I am missing some MSVC10.dll(or similar) files and that's it. I did run the 3rd party updates from game directory, no help. So what to do? Uninstall and make a clean install?
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Same issue as in here? http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/24456-game-will-not-start-msvcr110dll-missing/
LLv34_Flanker Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 S! That's the one. Will check the solutions provided there. Thanks!
Remontti Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 You could try installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and see if it fixes it. If you upgraded from older Windows version to 10 you could copy files msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll from C:\Windows.old\WINDOWS\SysWOW64 to C:\Windows\SysWOW64
LLv34_Flanker Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) S! Installed the Visual Studio thing, cured that MSCV. Now gives another error: SSLEAY64 and LIBEAY64 dll files missing..argh EDIT: I found them in IL-2 folder. Just removed the update part of the name and game works Edited September 12, 2016 by LLv34_Flanker
