P-40 Combat

Is there any guide on how to use the P-40 in Combat? I did not really find anything. 

I am having a really hard time. My enemies always seem to be faster and more manouvarable.

Are the german aircraft simply that superior?

Yes, they are. The P-40E which we have in game is one of the heaviest of the series, while not being particularly high powered. This indeed means that enemy fighters generally are faster, more manoeuvrable and better climbing. What you can do, is

a) shed some weight - fly at less than 100% fuel, you've got plenty

b) shed some more weight - use the 4 guns option, it's still powerful

c) attack with an advantage - with superior numbers, from superior position, ideally both

d) use your WEP wisely - at low altitude, with 100% throttle, you have the most powerful engine in game, but it blows up in no time.

e) get out of there while you still can - get away while you still have the advantage, don't wait for too long.

But she really is slow  
I was almost unable to catch up with a few Ju-88s in an Intercept Mission.

Yea I had an I-16 outrun and outclimb me yesterday (Multiplayer)...

 

So yea Acceleration and climb rate is not the P-40E-1s strong suite =P.
