The Hs-129 is awesome!

I'm trying out some of the upcoming aircraft in IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 with HSFX at the moment, and the Hs-129 is impressing me a lot.

 

I did a quick mission with no AI aircraft on the IB_Prokhorovka map, using 2x SC50s and the MK-103 gunpod, and these were the results.

Every Aircraft that is 100% build for ground attack missions should excel at it. ^^ Otherwise the designers probably got shot on the spot. My problem with the "duck" arises the second there are enemy airforces in the area. *G* I mean, if you think the StuKa is a deathtrap in Il-2 (which it is), then just wait about what happens with the duck. You're still about as slow as a severely wounded snail, but on top of that you will probably have the maneuverability of said severely wounded snail, too. I don't doubt the capability of that thing in a clear or well protected environment, but as everybody who flies StuKas or Bombers in BoS/BoM knows, there are no well protected environments or that mysterious thing you might have heard about the Russians call "Cover". Therefore I will probably contain my excitement to the Spitfire and Airacobra.

Cybermat47 if you are running the last HSFX in 1946 you can try this co-op mission made with the HS-129

 

Just drop it into your co-op missions folder and start in as a co-op.All planes have waypoints and are fully functional.are

 

the HS-129 is fun attacking ground targets.

That is a really old mission I remodified for HSFX lol

 

There are still a lot of missions  I would have to pull out of the old files.
