SCG_Neun Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) If you just can't get enough of the 110 and enjoy ground attack missions coordinated with guaranteed fighter cover, then how about considering joining our unit. We've had such a rush of fighter pilots these past months our 4./JG52 staffel is at full capacity. So......we thought we'd start this unit back up. Pilots here can transfer into our fighter unit 4./JG52 as vacancies occur, move over to the 19th GIAP, or you can just make a cyber career right here in the 5th Staffel. We desire the immersion that only certain online MP servers can provide and we are a respected group of friendly cyber pilots who just want to have some fun and recreate, to a certain degree some air war on the Eastern Front. You can't have it without ground attack and with the Kuban looming ahead you better saddle up and tell your rear gunner to get his shit together..... We are a unique unit which comes under the banner of Simulated Air Combat, an affiliation of the 4./JG52, 5./ZG1 and for the VVS, the 19th GIAP. We have a Dedicated server we use to train and fly our missions on in addition to our own comms and forums. What's not to like.... Edited September 10, 2016 by 4./JG52_Neun 3
SCG_Neun Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) Please welcome our two new pilots who signed up for this unit, 5./ZG1_CJAY and 5./ZG1_Cazzar44. Plenty of room for more as this unit is just becoming operational. We have lot's of great ZG pilots who are also on our main fighter squad who can help train and bring any new recruit up to combat level with the online community. You will get the help here, or maybe you can just teach us a few things. Either way, we all benefit. Also don't forget about the other excellent ZG squads out there, I/ZG1 out of Russia, II/ZG1 out of NA and 6./ZG26 out of the EU. All of these guys know what they're doing and do it well. The fact is the 110 in particular is such a beauty to fly and with air support, you can make it back home. In addition, under the right circumstances this plane can hold it's own. And the JU88, packs a punch. Edited September 17, 2016 by 4./JG52_Neun
707shap_Srbin Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I/ZG1 out of Russia I./ZG1 is EU squad, guys are mainly from Germany, Sweden, UK, Neitherlands, Finnland and Austria. 1/ZG26 out of the EU 6./ZG26, I guess? They have members from America also.
SCG_Neun Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 Thanks PB, I corrected that on the 26th.
Monostripezebra Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 yeah, one can really have fun with the 110: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzBsG26Lkqo

707shap_Srbin Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Guys, If 5./ZG1 is created to serve as a reserve, temporary Staffel for spare fighter pilots, because 4./JG52 reached it's limit - why dont You name it, for example, 5./JG52? As You said, each and any pilot of 4./JG52 can take Bf110 for some missions - why do You need to have a Zerstorer Staffel (in wich, anyway, are just the same non-zerstorer pilots are waiting when there will be a free slot in 4./JG52?), especially with name, corresponding with another, already existing squad?
SCG_Neun Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) Not sure what's changed since April of this year, but oh well. http://www.simulatedaircombat.enjin.com/zgforum/m/37371329/viewthread/26624931-5zg1-pilots-experten-commanding-officers-etc http://www.simulatedaircombat.enjin.com/zgforum/m/37371329/viewthread/26561314-5zg1-skins I guess the squad skins are out now? As to your question, we have plenty of fighters, we want heavy fighters to use in conjunction with a full staffel. Most ZG in the EU, and we were hoping for more here in NA. The really neat thing about having your own unit, is your pretty well make the decisions among your members. But thanks for the advice anyway, and thanks for all the help you gave us back in March and April of this year when you knew we were starting up this unit. Edited September 17, 2016 by 4./JG52_Neun
707shap_Srbin Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 (edited) I guess the squad skins are out now? 8 summer skins for 5./ZG1. If they are fine, I'll add winter versions, each will be different. Download. As to your question, we have plenty of fighters, we want heavy fighters to use in conjunction with a full staffel. For this case, we, here, just fly with our friendly fighter squadron, who will escort us. Common practice, that specialised squad had close cooperation with another specialised squad. One of the best examples - JGr.8 and I./SG2 and I./KG100. They always fly together, but they are different squadrons. JGr8 "Pelikan" are pure fighters, flying escort missions for Stukas and Heinkels, but not create "Bomber/Stuka/Zerstorer Staffel, affilated with the unit". Thus they gaine great respect among other squadrons. And it is only one example. Most ZG in the EU, and we were hoping for more here in NA. There is 3 ZG squadrons, as follows: -ZG26 - semi-fighters, semi-zerstorer squad, little/non active in Il-2 series, active in CloD. EU -ZG15 - semi-fighters, semi-zerstorer squad, active in Il-2 series. EU -I./ZG1 - dedicated zerstorer squad. Out of EU. -II./ZG1 - dedicated zerstorer squad. Out of NA. II./ZG1, as a squad, its commander and Staffelkapitane were the only ZG squad, wich tried to get together Bf110 pilots of NA region. It is very difficult task, because there are few Luftwaffe virtual pilots in NA region, and among them, even less - dedicated Bf110 pilots. It was really hard to gather so many exellent Bf110 pilots together, before recent, known for You, things happened. I am sure, that II./ZG1 will grown in needed numbers again, even in this situation among NA zerstorer squads. This will need more time, but it will happen. I am sure. and thanks for all the help you gave us back in March and April of this year when you knew we were starting up this unit. Thank You and all Your squad members for good cooperation, especially during SNBF and IN WAR. As for skins, as I said - I will paint any Bf110 sqkinpack for You, if needed. But, as You may know, I am not painting swastika and will not (as a ZG1 historian, skinner and a member of ZG1 squad) paint any JG emblem together to ZG1 "Wasp" emblem on same skin. I am not fond of such things. Edited September 18, 2016 by I./ZG1_Panzerbar 3
707shap_Srbin Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) As promissed: 5./ZG1 skinpack with 8 winter skins for S9+AN > S9+HN is ready. You can get it here. As for "more personalised" skins - Wespe emblem is enough personalised itself, and a honour to wear. Anything additional is a move to World-of-Warplane and War Thunder crappy skin style. Real 5./ZG1 pilots were not colouring their aircrafts much, and even victory marks were extremly rare. Edited September 19, 2016 by I./ZG1_Panzerbar 2
707shap_Srbin Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) Thank You Panzebar Salute sir You are not a "Wasp pilot" anymore, are'nt You? Now You are a fighter. Edited September 19, 2016 by I./ZG1_Panzerbar
SCG_Neun Posted September 20, 2016 Author Posted September 20, 2016 Welcome to our newest pilot, 5./ZG1_Morgan. College student, so not sure how much time he can fly, but heck, I'm not sure how much time I can fly half the time either.
SCG_Neun Posted July 19, 2017 Author Posted July 19, 2017 :Yes sir. Just visit the site and go to enlistment section. Also feel free to join the site as well.
