haha yeah so they disabled it temporarily.

Where can I host it for free and no traffic issues?

I'm trying Google Drive but idk if it will work.

It's around 3GB. Someone knows how to make a torrent?

Thanks for this.  Can you compress it to mp3 using audacity or similar?

Maybe could be uploaded to YT? With some gameplay footage in the background or plane pictures :)

I dont have video editing installed. Just installed clean Win10.

I just compressed to mp3, its 144MB.

I'll figure something out after dinner.

If you have any other suggestions post them here, I'll check tonight.

Could anyone post the highlights?

Don't want a full transcript but If someone can summarize or post bullet points that would be great.

Please and thank you

Jade thank you again for the recording.

As you encountered problem with your bandwidth I took the liberty of uploading a compressed MP3 version of your file on my FileFactory account.

Here is a link : http://www.filefactory.com/file/2peifvd2d3zp/Q_A%20Jason%20BOK.mp3

Hope this will help !

:salute:

Awesome thanks!

I'll update the initial post since the link is not working anymore.

Awesome! Thanks for this Q&A. Also thanks for recording this. Listening to this as I browse web pages. It's like listening to talk radio, except I really enjoy this subject matter.

He said something that really hit home for me, the COOP lobby system. This goes all the way back to jane's combat.net!!!! It's just the way I was grown up on flight sims and it's sorely missing from todays sims. It can help foster new friendships to be made. Just have some good coop missions ready.

Thank you Jade_Monkey for asking about DX11. Been waiting to hear about it.

Hey folks! I recorded the Q&A and I put together a summary of the Q&A and posted all of it on my Blog and on my YouTube channel so you guys can enjoy the Q&A without worrying about maxing out someones download quota.

Note: I had to leave at the very last bit. I may have missed one or two questions but otherwise its a complete recording of the Q&A and there's tons of good stuff in there. My summary may have missed one or two items but overall I think I got the gist of it too. If I missed anything please feel free to point it out to me!

Many thanks ShamrockOneFive. Your Blog rocks !

May I suggest you re-upload the Youtube with JadeMonkeys materials so it would be complete ?

There are 5 missing questions there :

- Do you plan to implement Ream Refuel Repair feature ?
- Can you invert the control of the external cameras F2 view ?
- Will you Include Cargo mission in the career ?
- Will you implement External view with TrackIR ?
- What about your plans about Damage system, Drop tanks and Fuel Management ?

Cheers, Mad

Thanks to Jade Monkey, I have combined his recording into a YouTube video and updated my blog to reflect the new video. It has about 5-10 minutes of additional questions that I could't stick around for.

I also wanted to say to Jason... A big thank you for spending 3 hours of your weekend with us to answer a lot of questions! It gives us some really great information on whats going on with the product, the team, the timelines and all of the challenges and great things to come. The straight talk on what you have to juggle helps a lot of people understand at least pieces of the process and how nothing that appears simple is actually simple. I know that all too well.

Thanks again! Look forward to future Q&A's!

Excellent! Thank you brother

You're most welcome!

I asked about cargo in the campaign(guess its the same for career) and they can do it however since there is not cargo drops or something advanced atm it would mostly just be flying from an airport to another however with some harsh weather and on the Stalingrad map(flying into the pocket) it could be fun.

Thank you very much ShamrockOneFive for the recording, really appreciated and very interesting, how Jason managed to talk for so long is beyond me as I had to listen in stages because of the length. ;)

Many things I think are still not really clear with the direction he and the team are taking but it should be very interesting to follow events as they unfold, hopefully somewhere along the way they will meet most of the aspirations we all have.

One thing I had not been aware of and that Jason mentioned with the pacific when asked about British forces being included was the fact that the game only actually has two combatant nations at the moment. :o:

Seems a lot of things were left out at the beggining that will need adding in now, but when you think of just how large the Eastern theatre was and how many nationalities participated in the conflict it is very strange indeed that you can only fight for Russia or Germany.  Possibly that is why even though the IAR 80 has been mentioned throughout these threads it seems no nearer to actually getting added into the plane set.

When making games like this you as a developer should want to build in playability right from the start so it is ridiculous that the option to include all nations and all types of aircraft was overlooked, even if it was intended to only make one map at first, you should try and allow the maximum usage of your product not restrict it to only the two sides currently available.

The forthcoming aircraft set is just that, Russian and German, even though certainly at Stalingrad the Romanians were involved there in large numbers and the French fought alongside their Russian comrades through the war so at least they should have been included from the start, the current plans include only those actually flown in combat by their respective sides and even a paint job for those other nationalities cannot give you specific units, they would be one or the other, Russian or German.

Besides the above, If the Murmansk map ever makes it into the game what about a Hurricane, British, Finnish and Russian squadrons used the type and much more use was made of that type in Russia and could be also in the game, and it is a lovely aircraft as well..

I like the plan going forward even though the Pacific is not my thing I am interested in seeing and using it all the same just to see how different it will be compared to the old 1946 version, certainly in ROF adding a water element and seaplanes brought so much more variety to that game, hopefully the same will be for this one.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

BTW, very interesting point of view from Jason regarding experienced comms (military experience) guy who will lead ppl in MP. Thats my experience too. This makes thing much better and interesting. I hadthat in SEOWS in original IL2 where we had guys with military (air force) background.

The airmarshall concept is a great idea. Congrats !

Thanks for doing this Jason; fantastic discussion.

I really like the concept for the online Battle of Midway; I can see a lot of replay value requiring team effort.

Imagine your cargo drops request combined with Ream Refuel Repair feature ...

Resupplying base in fuel, armaments etc ... and managing the stock to Ream Refuel Repair planes would awesome
