6./ZG26_Gielow Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Gielow, thanks for posting that information. I'm much more clear on the He111H-16 model now! I wonder if we'll get that turret as a modification... It would definitely be cool and would give the Heinkel a different look than the one we have right now. Another question... what do the torpedo racks look like? Anyone have that info? A cool turret, belt fed guns, along new dedicated keys for crew position can bring new life for people playing as gunners. PS.: Waiting for people saying this is a sim and it is not supposed to create life. We have Devs, not Gods or aliens.
Lusekofte Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Then make that more clear in your post. Please pay attention. You know how many topic infested with this tone in this site? Almost every damn topic, at some point there should be a voice in ones head saying "it is not worth it, I will not comment this one" It is simply ruining a interesting topic 3

Even if we dont get the ball turret but just regular mounted 13mm. I also wonder, if the 13mm cannon uses explosive rounds? Or is it just regular rounds like the classic .50 cal? I am so far away from the term "expert" in this subject as possible(like most subjects)
Asgar Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) the Germans actually used HEI rounds regularly on the 13mm as far as i knowand HEI-T as well Edited September 13, 2016 by 6./ZG26_Asgar
1CGS LukeFF Posted September 14, 2016 1CGS Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) What is interesting is the He 111 H-11, H-14 und H-16 Schußwaffenanlage manual dated January 1943 lists the MG-FF/M as the armament for the nose gunner. Were some early H-16s actually fitted with this armament? Also of note is that the dorsal MG 131 was fitted with a Revi 16 A reflector sight. Edited September 14, 2016 by LukeFF 1

Why not, they had those in H-6 earlier, i don't see a reason not to use it in H-16 as well Also of note is that the dorsal MG 131 was fitted with a Revi 16 A reflector sight. Hope we get that. i love the Russian dorsal guns with Revi, Could be fun to have a 13mm MG with one too Edited September 14, 2016 by 6./ZG26_Asgar
JtD Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Most of the documentation shows the MGFF in the A position. That's pretty much standard for the series. The first mention I find of the M131 is in a November 1943 manual.

It wouldn't surprise me if the team models the default defensive armament, then as: Nose: MG-FF Dorsal: MG 131 in unpowered turret Ventral: MG 81Z Beam: MG 81 And the alternate options being: Nose: MG 131 Dorsal: MG 131 in powered ball turret Beam: MG 81Z
