Combat Report greyed out after mission

I just flew a mission and the combat report is greyed out after flying.  I still have the log files, is there any way I can "force" the re-read of the reports?

It was a really good mission so I am somewhat gutted.

The button will be grayed out for one of three reasons.

1. No mission logs

2. No mission data file

3. No assigned crews (which should part of the mission data files)

You said that you had the mission logs, so that eliminates reason 1.

If a mission was created and flown I cannot think of a reason why there would be no mission file, but that would seem ot be the most likely reason.  Look for a file in your campaign folder with an extension of .missionData.

Last - you have the logs and you have the mission file.  No assigned crews.  Shouldn't happen but that is the only other reason to grey out the AAR button.

First - copy the log files and store them.  As long as they are still there then they should be usable.  If you go through the debrief process and something goes wrong they may be deleted, so make a copy.

Next - please zip up the campaign directory and post it.  I want to see what is there.

Last resort is to make another mission and then run the combat report for the previous mission.  That may be problematic though because the mission data will not match the log data.  DO NOT DO THIS BEFORE ZIPPING UP AND SAVING YOUR CAMPAIGN!

Looks to me like

1. No mission logs  NUP the mission logs are there

2. No mission data file  NUP  mission data file is there

3. No assigned crews (which should part of the mission data files)   NUP  crew are assigned

So could it be that it can't read the log files for some reason?

Hi Patrick,

Is there any solution to this?  I don't want to fly again until I have fixed this.  It was an awesome mission so naturally I want to claim the result.before I fly the next mission.

I looked into this over the weekend.  I have some good news and some bad news.  The good news is that with some hand editing I pushed this through PWCG.  The bad news is that your pilot didn't get credit for anything.  It looks like you shot up a bunch of stuff (ground attack mission in an Me109 F4) but the logs don't have you actually destroying anything.

Thats bizarre, I dropped a bomb dead center of a train at a train yard and there were secondaries galore.  Wingmen didn't drop anything as they usually do, and dropped their bombs to engage the russian fighterts.  I definately shot down a fighter, at a guess a Lagg.

i got logs for multiple missions and assumed the mission in question was the last one flown.  That last set of mission logs looked like an attack on something other than a rail station - more like a troop concentration, a convoy,  or assaulting enemy troops.  I might not have been looking at the same mission you were referring to.
