Training servers/groups?

Re-post from Steam, sorry for the redundancy(Too many to sift through).

Hi, so I have been trying to get into IL-2: BOS for awhile now. I am no stranger to flight sims yet I am struggling getting a hang of this.

I've done my research on combat maneuvers as well as specific aircraft capabilities and their stengths/weaknesses. Yet I end up doing very mediocre and fail even on simple things. It is hard to get feedback on my performance even with the recording function. My focus will be for now and awhile the BF-109 series(Particularly the F4) and the 110(As soon as I buy Moscow).

I am using TrackIR 5 and Requiem's profile yet still feel like I am losing situational awareness and by the time I see them they are in a position of advantage. It is pitiful as I am losing to Novice aircraft, it is a 50/50 split in what happens in quick battle(I mainly practice against Yak-1's as they are my main threat I feel).

What I have been trying to do is keep doing high/low yo yo's and disengage when I feel I need to reorient myself(Disengaging seems to be my mistake, but without the duel extends for quite a long time and I spend too long looking over my shoulder which is not ideal when I plan to move on to real players.

Does anyone have any advice or can any group/server offer me some help(I would love to join a group, but I will say my performance is lacking at the moment). I just love this game so much as well as this aircraft, Soviet aircraft feel so much easier to handle yet my interest is not so much in them(Systems like prop pitch, mixture, radiators are not my issue. I understand those well enough).

Dazven when you get the 110 I would be happy to go up with you. As for fighters...well lets say I make a good shield for my wingman.

I look forward to it, the 110 is such an amazing aircraft.

We have not made an announcement yet but II/JG17 is looking for a few good men. We are a "light" squadron in that we have no formal rank structure but we fly good tactics and have fun. You are welcome to seek us out and train a bit. Send me a PM if you are interested. I think we may be up your alley.

definitely  you need to join a squadron.

Follow the best pilots and learn that way.

Its the difference between learning to drive by reading a book and actually taking a lesson.
