Throttle - boost relation for DB engines?

Recommended Posts

Looking at the Bf 109F-4 as modelled now, it seems to run at very low boosts and rpm for certain throttle settings (combat power settings at 95%, really?). I've attached a chart for a DB603 engine, showing the relation found with that engine, and as far as I have seen, the relation is similar with other German WW2 engines. I didn't find a chart for the DB601E or DB605A, though.

Does anyone have a chart like that for DB601E and DB605A he could share?

I only know the normal power charts for the DB601/605, but not a chart that give an throttle way value like in your chart.

But interesting chart, did not know it untill now. Thx for sharing

JtD,

This website might have what you are looking for. It focuses solely on the 109.

Also, here is a document about German engines with data taken only from German documents. It doesn't have graphs similar to what you show here, but you may find it helpful.

Apologies if you have seen these before.

I found a chart for the DB605A in my documents by now. It's pretty similar to the DB603 as shown above. I hope the team revisits the throttle of the 109 before release.

Requiem, a belated thanks for the link, I know that site and also the document. Nonetheless, both are good and interesting.

yep, exactly what I thought.

Throttle on the Bf-109 is less twitchy in the last build. more easy to use specific settings in flight.

Here is a happy dude, watching a sims growing better every weeks... and more to come next week ^^
