Sokol1 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) User video: Other gimbal center system used in joystick's: "Pincer" (CH, Cougar...) - make a loud and tactile "clunk" when cross or return to center position. Compress spring "piston" (Saitek's, Warthog, Logitech 3D and clones) - need more force for move joystick away from center position that for move after this position - and blend X,Y axis force. Oscillation disk ("Saturn Ring" ) - Suncom, T.16000M - a better kinematic than "piston" - blend the forces less. CAM try provide a "clear" center - but tactile and proportional force when move away from center position. Edited September 6, 2016 by Sokol1 1
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Are there other CAMs available that do not have the center detent?
Jason_Williams Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 It comes with two cams. One with detente and one without. Jason 2
Beazil Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Wasn't aware of that tidbit of information before Jason. I will pass it along when I'm asked, and I will be. Not to derail, but I'm assuming this option will exist as well for Gunfighter sticks when they are ready? Regardless, thanks for posting that Sokol1. You can bet that video will get passed around a few forums, I'm sure. That's a nice cam system.
