All IL-2 Production models

Hi,

 

I read a magazine about the history of IL-2. I don't know if someone made a topic like this before, but here is a list with a couple of informations about each models. If you want to know more, there is wikipedia lol.

 

> IL-2-AM-38 one seat (IL-2) (Model 1941) : AM-38 Engine, all metallic. PBP-1B aiming sight
> IL-2-AM-38 one seat (IL-2) (Model 1942) : AM-38 Engine, shielding AB-1 removed for AB-2, rear part of fuselage en external parts of wings made of wood (all metallic coming back in 1944), VV-1 aiming sight.
> IL-2-AM-38 transformed with a rear gunner (IL-2) (Model 1942) : Very artisanal.
> IL-2-AM-38 one seat with skis (IL-2) (Model 1941-1942)

* All models have a metallic front to protect the pilot/rear gunner, instruments and engine.

 

Here is all models produced, but there was some prototypes not listed here.

 

As I know from the "about" page on the website, in the game we only have IL-2-AM-38 one seat (IL-2) (Model 1941) and I'm not sure witch model from 1942 is available in the game. Is it the two seats one or the single seat? The image is showing single seat, but some videos are showing a rear gunner.

M42 in the game can be modified to carry a rear gunner.
