Valletta Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 I'm trying to get my Saitek X52 setup and I seem to be having issues. My stick comes with 2 control knobs which can be rotated. I would like for them to be on flaps so I can rotate to adjust how much flaps I want but I cannot seem to get it working. And it also seems like there are issues with my other sliders and such as I can't get them to work for zoom or anything else. If anyone has one and would like so share how they set theirs up that would be appreciated.
Sokol1 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 (edited) Flaps controls can't be mapped on joystick axis (knobs, sliders, rotaries, levers, etc) only in joystick buttons/HAT's and keyboard keys. IRL some planes present in the game use similar control for flap: press and hold a button/switch. Bf 109 for example have millimeter adjust of flaps through a crank - - but fortunately this kind of adjust is not allowed in game, or will be the second exploit more used - the first is add "Stabilizer Adjust" together with elevator control (in joystick Y axis). You can use this X-52 "knobs" for control radiators (oil, water...) for example, or "Stabilizer Adjust" in Bf 109, but not for Fw 190. Edited September 4, 2016 by Sokol1

Some controls are better mapped in-game, much easier this way and less problems with saitek software. For example I mapped in-game Pilot Head Zoom on the precision slide. Martini Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Here is my x52 Pro profile. I have track IR so I deleted the snap views and put other controls Saitek X52 Pro Layout IL2 BOS_BOM.doc IL2-BOS.zip
