New PC

Hi guys, i would like to ask you   . I´m going to buy a new PC (because fighting on 20fps isnt good) and I´m not sure how it will handle BoS/BoM.

PC specs:      1) CPU - Intel Core i5 6500 3.6 Ghz

                      2) GPU - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6gb 

                      3) RAM - 16gb DDR4 2400 mhz 

                      4) Hard drive - 250 gb SSD (for OS) + 2 tb HDD (7200 rpm)

                      5) OS - Win 10 64-bit

                      6) Resolution - 1920x1080 60hz (BenQ 24" monitor)

 

Which settings do you think it will handle?

 It should run BoS/BoM at High easily. With Mastiff's tweak guide you can squeeze out some more of the game as well. A decent setup you got there

And with RX 480 8 GB? (There are two PCs where the GPU is the only difference) - I would like to buy the 1060 one, RX 480 is the backup (if the 1060 was sold out)

Hardware components should be fine.  Just one little comment (because it's not my money ).  My statement of the obvious: The only visual interface you have with this sim, or anything else you do on the computer, will be the monitor.  It might be worth it, if you can afford it, to increase the size to maybe 27".  Of course you may be thinking of sinking the money into VR in the future in which case your choice makes sense.

 

In any case, you will enjoy flying at much higher frame rates.

Im completely satisfied with my current monitor   Problems are only fps and lowest settings - its pretty hard to recognize type of plane from jaggy silhouette 

VR is over for me - IMAX and other 3D stuff is hell for my eyes - i get horrible headache and nausea when i try to watch it.
