That`s what I do. I know a fair bit of Russian now, although that was admittedly from IL2. useful if I ever end up in a WW2 dogfight over Russia.

Even my German`s improving, Was ist das? Mein fruend....

Or something!

Thanks Gramps. There should be a tick box somewhere in settings for this.

Do you guys remember the "Flood Control!" guy from the old sim?

What was that guy saying? I took German in high school but I could never decipher it.

Yep - he wasn't saying that literally, just always sounded like it to my ears. (German)

Shouldn't subtitles be appearing?

Very hard to tell from that. Been a while since I last played IL2 and I mostly played on the Ruskie side.

Yeah the Germans guys yelled it constantly.

Better than the constant Japanese blood curdling scream.

Any way to remove the radio subtitles on screen?

Pressing the H key hides all the Hud elements I think. There doesn't seem to be a way to selectively remove or resize the chatter text though.

The best way with chatter text for me was to go to the flight interface setting and increase the transparency of this (HUD). That way I keep the chatter and some additional situational awareness etc but it is faint and does not obstruct the view etc.
