Defence of the Reich would be amazing! Especially if they include RAF night raids!

As had been said several times in previous updates, 4 engine bombers are not on the table.

 

And frankly there are far more interesting areas to take us to that would be far less resource intensive, and frankly, more fun.

• Thursday: DD with next project announcement AND overal changes for IL2 franchise future;
• Friday: thirstday with beers to celebrate all those big news;
• Saturday: Hangover
• Sunday: Read again Thursday DD, even some more beers eventually...

Great lets hope we will facing an intresting scene and can select for US or UK, sorry but I never liked the Eastern maps, also flying for Stalin is not my first choice inhere.

You you think that more games would of been developed based on North Korea.

Really hoping its another eastern front plane/map set, seeing how I just bought BoM exclusively for multiplayer not even a week ago id really hate to see all those planes become obsolete due to a pacific map and japanese planes flying around. All that would do is divide the community into people with eastern front content and people with the new shiny 50 dollar pacific map/plane set. Not really a good idea.

Hmm, I responded to your assertion in the other thread as well. It's not a zero sum game. The community grows and shrinks. The community will grow in response to a new theater. Many folks will go back and forth depending on mood. I know I will.

When I got the Pacific, and the other maps, it gave me a chance to miss the Eastern Front.

The whole "dividing the community" stuff is bunk.

Looking at the state of servers most are unhealthy other then TAW and WOL (For US pilots). Now if both of those go to the new pacific theater content that is a possibility what do us players of BoS and BoM do other then fork over another 50 dollars? Sims will never be a huge market regardless of how enticing you make it look, this isnt a generic fps game its a sim designed for a small population of the gaming industry.

There are people not getting involved in multiplayer because the Eastern Front doesn't motivate them to do so - that in itself is arguably a division in the community if we're taking

your logic to it's full conclusion. You'r contention rests on the notion that everyone who has an interest in multiplayer is currently taking part and flying this current plane set/map, and

a Pacific release or other theater will then divide this apparently static, existing group.

 

With respect, It's thankfully not that simple.

I hear ya, and I understand where you're coming from.

I myself purchased Pacific Fighters as an add-on. Those of us that were here from the beginning all did...just FYI.

 

This sim is going to move on and cover other theaters just like the original did, most of us knew/assumed/hoped this was going to be the case from day 1.
