Infinite loading/Black screen on mission load.

I've been having problems with infinite loading and the 3D engine crashing or failing in campaign and in multiplayer a bit lately. (about 50% of the time in SP missions, MP not so often)

 

Generally I can still access the "esc" menu if I alt tab out and back in again to return to the menus. The menus work fine after this but loading another mission is impossible as it causes the same result. The hangar screen seems to be immune.

GPU: nVidia GTX 760

CPU: i5 3330 3.2GHz Quad Core

RAM: 16GB

HDD: 2TB Barracuda 4200RPM

 

Latest drivers for everything, always checked and updated regularly. My system is well maintained.
