=362nd_FS=Hiromachi Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 New Guinea ! That's what I'm talkin about About that P-40 N-5, it belonged to F/O T. R. Jacklin of RAAF No. 75 Squadron. According to notes he lost aileron and about 25 % of the wing area in a mid-air collision. It's actually not unheard of, there were not so few events of aircraft returning to base without part of the wing. That one was actually repaired and was used until the end of hostilities.
