Try using this to identify.  Add jpg as layer and save layer as dds to view.  Find by color and number.

My skins don't have that inner texture artifact. I uploaded my alpha channel overlay for removed wheelcovers some time ago, maybe you'll fin it helpfull:

Do your invisible wheel pants still cast a shadow? I've tried omitting some parts only to find they still cast a shadow in game.

Yes they do because for the game the 3d model is still visible. Still depending on sun setting it's barely noticeably on the ground and not at all once airborne.
