Bf109E-7 Top Speed and Radiators (Dev Answer Pretty Please?)

All tests I read for the Emil quoted Oil as closed and Water as 3/4 and Trim full Nose Down.

When I test it with 25% Water Rads and 70% throttle (1.23ata@2300) where I should get 460, I only get 450, to get to 460 I have to fully Close Radiators.

Same is true for higher Settings as well.

On the Outside Model even at 0% Rads, there is still a Considerable Opening, could be 55mm.

Is the ingame definition of 0% Water Rads what the germans called 3/4 closed?

However the Water Cooler is Straak at 25% Setting.

From Kurfurst Top Speed Test with 498kph at 1.35ata with DB601Aa

Wasserkühler           1/4 geöffnet (Klappe in Straak)
                       Wassertemperatur konstant = 90°
                     bei +5° Außenlufttemperatur

On a system like the 109's - always.

If you trim the aircraft up, the stabilizers moves up and creates downwards lift and the associated drag, which you have to counter with moving the elevator down, which creates upwards lift and the associated drag. The drag created is considerable in game, can't say how much it was in real life, but certainly not zero.

Yes it does. Especially in Dogfights it gives an enormous advantage for some reason to just push fully forward.

My point is that all Data I find is for 25% Radiator opening, yet ingame comparison always yields too slow results.

Also, DB601Aa would be a nice option for our E-7.

I apologize, you're right, I had tried the 190 and the effect is minimal, while on 109's the speed difference is greater than 20 km / h

What do you mean by "push fully forward"?

Nose Down. Forces you to stay fast, into energy fighting.
