Whatever the theater,

I just wish this wonderful sim will be even more successful for years to come!

I'd be surprised if it's that soon. They have to get approval/money from 1C. That might take some time.

Yes, intention was by the end of this month I believe. It shouldn't really take so long, since its been already a long wait.

Actually we don't know if it will be really a new Theater or something else, may be just a new map and some aicrafts dedicated.

I still hope for a dedicated MED Teather off course.

New theater will not be announced tomorrow. I'm hoping soon, but budget and included items is still not approved.

No problem - I approve it. Just go ahead ;)

Have not been here for a long time as I got snowblind by BoS but the news of a new theatre made me purchase BoM this week. And a pleasant surprise it was with more trees and less snow! Having said that I really look forward to the "8th Air Force" expansion with flyable B17:s, Mustangs and P-38:s. The Premium B25 and P-47 will naturally be interesting as well. The Fw 190 D9, 109 K4 will probably be good but the premium Me 163 and Ta 152 is what I am looking forward to most on the axis side! A pity the B-24 will not be in the original release but the plan to release it as a buyable aircraft after the release is fine with me. :)

Bummer. Still hopeful for SOON... But I hope it is not Gaijin's version of "soon". End of august would mean quarter 4, 1 year from now.

I know others have mentioned a kickstarter campaign and it wasn't something deemed needed. Still, I think there are plenty here who would pony up to help get the next installment rolling.

I would, I have sunk numerous amounts of dollars into other Kickstarter games, war of rights full founder price, battletech full founders price, they have little incentive products you get with it, I.e, I got the civil war maps and authentic bullets, and what ever else was on that list, battletech jacket plus other stuff. Some time getting stuff is why I buy it because only so many are made, heck I even have fallout iv's pipboy. Edited by 71st_AH_Mastiff

Kickstarter campaigns are great if you get funded. What happens when we fail? Can you imagine the negativity that would go down if that happened? The combat-sim community doesn't take disappointment well. When you don't meet the Kickstarter goal the money goes back. Remember when Luthier did his WWII Kickstarter for DCS and almost didn't make it? He only asked for $100K. Not a large sum of money for a sim development team at all. Didn't turn out well for Ilya or DCS as far as I can tell.

If you just want to gift us money that can be arranged.  You can send direct to me if you want. Gracie loves the cheese! Kibbles all day for her!

So if the funds are not approved, go and get the two new planes. Show them, that we are interested in this sim and are willing to support it.

Like many here I already have. I preordered BoS and BoM the day they were opened up. Like others, I was just tossing out an idea to help. if it isn't needed or wanted then that works for me too.

Hey Rjel. My post wasn't referring to your kicksarter idea.

I was just expressing my thoughts regarding the opportunities to support the further development of BoS\M. :)

No sweat. I understood. My comment was in reference to Jason's too saying it wasn't the best idea. And I understand that too. It was only an offer of help. Not all of us are in a position to be a full fledged investor. Wish I were.

If 10,000 people gave us $500 we could make it all and give 1C a nice profit. It seems easy until you try. LOL

Jason can this be an idea maybe?:

How about make a donation button on the home page. And call it "Donations for a New Theater of War". Then under that a poll of let's say 4 or 5 choices we may want to see? I for one would love the Pacific "Battle of the Solomon's".

This of course with the expressed understanding that the money will stay with you guys until the goal is met. Would it really take $5,000,000.00 USD? Or was that just a joke number? I do not know what thing cost to develop. And if you don't get enough for a full blown SIM, maybe a couple more planes like the Bf-110G-2 or IL-2 Type 3M?

Can this be a possibility?
