richtervonboyce Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue, the sim runs great but the shifting clouds and trees are annoying.
TP_Jacko Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Not seen the clouds issue can you explain more
richtervonboyce Posted August 24, 2016 Author Posted August 24, 2016 So like the trees the clouds will shift as if changeing shape constantly now not all the clouds do this in all depends on the cloud type. i run a fx 8 core processer at 4.0 ghz, amd 290 x 4g vram and 16 gigs of ram on windows 10. the clouds change shape there not distorted or pixelated.
LTcommander Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 as you pass by you see different layers of the 3d model and yes it annoys me too (will dx11 fix it) while looking down and trying to fix a green plane over a constant shapeshifting appearing and disappearing trees, sometimes a game of luck
9./JG27golani79 Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 (edited) Can you post a video? Not sure if you are talking about this but could be because the clouds / trees are basically sprites and sprites are 2d planes with textures on it whereas multiple sprites are combined to make it look 3d. And sprites are always turning towards the camera - so when you pass by it´s possible that you see the sprites rotating. Edited August 29, 2016 by 9./JG27golani79
richtervonboyce Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 yes thats probably what im seeing so we will just have to see what dx 11 brings

The most speaking way to experience this is launching a quick mission with cloudy weather. spawn at something like 4k, go into external view and look down at the clouds straight below the plane. You should quickly see what the matter is
richtervonboyce Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 yup thats it right there ding ding great example!
