E4GLEyE Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Pretty much the title ... I keep searching but really could not find anything besides an ambient radio mod for VVS which is more of an ambient sound for MP (which i rarely play... i prefer the campaign and just simple single missions) If anyone has any good source for one or just knows that there is one in the making pls let me know
Jade_Monkey Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 There is no such things as mods (legit ones) right now. Tbat may change in the near future.
JG13_opcode Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I just disable the radio by prepending a hyphen to the folder name.
Feathered_IV Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I did the VVS one, but have been unable to do anything with the chatter for SP. I wish I could. The real problem is that the default chatter is so limited in the number of phrases the pilots use, plus each phrase is broken up into smaller strings of words in separate .ogg files. Making changes just sounds as grindingly repetitive as the files that are being replaced. The biggest problem I ran into is the separate radio static sample (radiostatic4.ogg I think it's called) that plays at the same time an AI speaks. If a longer replacement speech sample is used, the static comes out as an ear splitting burst of white noise of up to ten seconds duration.
KG200_Volker Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I used audacity to translate audio files to Greek, maybe you can do the same for the static file, e.g. 1 sec of no sound so it won't be a bother. http://www.audacityteam.org/download/

Even if a Mods-on mode were created we would still be unable to alter the sounds. If the Devs would move the static sample into the speech folders though we'd be in with a chance.
