wiseblood Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 LOFT is being pretty talkative about where he sees the game going over on the RU forum 2
ATAG_Slipstream Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Thanks, some interesting stuff there!
wiseblood Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 (edited) Also I don't know if this was mentioned on the eng forum yet, but on page 1 - FM will do Petrovich alone or already have trained staff? Give us more planes with the correct FM. Petrovich and new, trained staff, everything will be fine :) :) Edited December 19, 2012 by wiseblood
FTC_Karaya Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Well lets hope for the best then, would also love to get a few RoF FMs reviewed if they now have a larger crew dedicated to flight models! 2
wiseblood Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 Also this - http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.il2sturmovik.su%2Findex.php%3Fshowtopic%3D122 Hello, friends! I finally got to an Internet Very glad to see all our new site! I am sure that lie ahead are very exciting event, and I am pleased to see that the announcement is so keen interest of many people. The first thing I wanted to start a dialogue on this forum - is to present to you two of our new software engineers: Roman Kovalenko and Alexander Mironov. Roma - comes from the Mikoyan design bureau, which worked on the flight dynamics of modern fighters, he and the graduates of the same department of the MAI. Sasha also a design engineer by training, has worked at the plant Dyagtereva, and is currently in training for a private pilot. Together, we have to solve for 2013 a large number of tasks to create virtual models of aircraft - both for the newly announced project "Battle of Stalingrad" and our current project "The War in Heaven - 1917." The guys in the team since November, and now completing the first major phase of training technologies for the production of aircraft for RoF the example of one of the most difficult of our aircraft - Felixstowe F2.A, we make three. And by the way, how we get this flying boat, I can now say with confidence that we have a great chance to cope with all the tasks for 2013. Just do not worry about aerodynamics and "sense of mission" at CES - all those who are worried about it I can assure you that the aircraft will fly as they should fly. For our physics engine makes no difference to what belongs to the era of the plane - a WWI, WWII, or the modern aviation. The difference is only in terms of simulation equipment and systems - and on this we have enough time (and elaborated a plan of action) to complete CES all that distinguishes the airplane from the 40s of the last century airplanes. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time in the week to follow the forums, although it was very interesting to read all your comments and opinions, I have seen a lot of questions addressed to me. Some of them I had already read it, and I think the response now on the 2 most important. Over the weekend I will try to answer the other questions, as I will read anything that does not have time to read during the week. Once again I want to warmly welcome all of our new pilots on the base, and let's fly! 2
kestrel79 Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Cool thanks for translating. Keep it coming
79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Interesting stuff, thanks Wiseblood!
Bearcat Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 When I read that interview on SHQ and re read the FAQ , the Developer Diary and Team Statement whatever wait and see I had was gone. I will be absolutely STUNNED if this project falls flat. It may come out with some blemishes.. but I have no doubt that it will be viable because from the looks of things thee guys have a sustainable plan and we have to be a part of that plan for it to work.. not just as leeches . taking taking taking but giving back in the form of buying buying buying .. but it appears that the model will be something that is sustainable for them as well as us.. 2

You know if we can get a bunch of new planes for $10...a pop each time. It's probably worth it. If the game lives as long as IL-2 then I can spend the money and it keeps them developing. If that's how it has to be for future of realistic flight simulation development then so be it. It seems to be successful with Rise of Flight even if the model turned me off of it at the time. So if I drink two beers less, i can fly new planes... Its not that much money. Ill happily spend 10-20bucks a month to play a great game... Currently ROF, hopefully later BOS! 2

I don't like to spend money needlessly but a few new planes in a pack and I could justify it.
